It appears to me that the immigration issue has brought Dems and Repubs together?

in unity in a way we haven't seen since 9/11. EVERYBODY (ok, everybody that is legal) hates this proposed legislation.
What are your thoughts?

I think it should have, but there are hardline posters here who continue to want to make it a Dem/Repub thing calling out cons and blaming Bush. Intelligent people take each issue separately, not by party. I'm blaming Bush as much as anyone, but it doesn't make me a 'lib'.

I THINK PEOPLE ARE NARROW MINDED AND NEED TO READ UP ON THEIR HISTORY BECAUSE EVERYONE BUT THE AMERICAN INDIANS ARE IMMIGRANTS. SOO IF ANYTHING..
