Guess what -if you starve yourself 40lbs lighter then you will gain much more than that as soon as you start eating normal again
by starving you only lose water weight and muscle NOT fat and dramatically slow down metabolism and end up having higher body fat percentage
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

First of all, stopping your calorie intake will only make you gain weight. It is proven that if you starve your body of nutrients and calories it NEEDS, then anything eaten will be stored as fat, making you gain weight. Three years ago, I lost 60 pounds in 6 months! I haven't gained an ounce since then! I did this by eating 5 small meals a day. I cut out my sugars and sodas, and chose to eat grilled chicken, seasoned vegetables and many other things that I liked that didn't include a lot of simple sugars. Please don't starve yourself! You will only fail and become more unhappy with yourself. Plus, if you aren't an adult, your body is still growing at this time and needs nutrients and vitamins to fully develop to be a healthy adult. Also, I forgot to add, instead of sodas, try to drink a lot of water (I add crystal lite packets to my water bottle), this will help your skin and make you lose weight. I hope I can help you out, girl. If you have any more Q's just ask!

You really need to do some research on anorexia and see the horriable effects that it has on your body. Rather the eliminate your caloric intake, Limit your caloric intake to 1500 calories daily. Stage your diet to include 60% protein, 25% carbohydrates and 15% fats. Walk about 15 - 20 minutes a day at a brisk pace (About 4MPH).
Finally, talk to your parents about their negative attitude. Tell them that you feel helpless when the speak to you in such a manner and that you could use their help, not insults!

it won't work, you'll only gain it all back once you begin eating again and probably make yourself ill in the process. DIETS DON'T WORK!! you need to change your eating habits for good. and how long were you working out and eating less for? I keep reading on here how people are getting upset from seeing no weight loss after 1 month; it won't necessarily happen that quickly, it is dependent completely on genetics and body makeup. what exercise did you do? did you do it for long enough? what were you eating? and what is your normal daily intake now? honestly, you just WILL NOT be able to cut out eating completely especially if you overeat now, you wil get so hungry you will stuff yourself and possibly gain more weight that way. another thing is, if you starve your body, the minute you begin eating again your body will retain and store the fat you gain more readily in order to be ready for another starvation period. so you're more likely to do yourself harm and be less able to lose weight next time around. to lose fat sensibly it has to be slow and steady; regular cardio vascular exercise and sensible meals, less processed food, but most of all eat ONLY WHEN HUNGRY. it sounds obvious but hunger is your body's way of saying you need to refuel. try not to ignore it!! sorry for the long lecture and good luck.

To say that a proper diet (calorie intake decrease) combined with proper exercise did not work for you is completely illogical. Either you were still eating too much or exercising too little. I'd stop trying to get attention on a website by suggesting you're going to "stop eating" and get off your butt and actually do some real exercise. Start eating better and jog and lift weights.
The first step in losing weight is to stop feeling sorry for yourself and start taking REAL ACTION.

If you stop eating for a few eeks you will probably pass out from low sugar and then when you finally eat you will eat like no tomorrow and you will end up gaining more weight and its no point.
If your hellbent on stopping eating drink just water.

Look, honestly, if you do that you will not eat for a few days, loose ten pounds of water, not fat, and soon you will become obsessed with food and eat the entire kitchen, including the table. I'm just warning you!

I'm sorry that your parents are treating you this way and not being supportive of you. If you want to lose weight...do it for yourself and not them or any other people for that matter. Because, unless you do it for yourself you won't succeed. I'm sure that you are a beautiful girl...you probably shouldn't even be worrying about your weight..Take care!

You need to eat to keep up your and metabolism and maintain your weight loss. It sounds like maybe you are eating the wrong things. You also need to talk to your parents and tell them to stop calling you names and start motivating you. Buy some fitness magazines like Prevention or Self magazine to get some ideas for meals and excercise. Good luck.
