I am a married, professional female with 4 tattoos:
-butterfly behind right ear
-butterfly on temple (yes I have one on my face and the response has been positive)
-butterfly/rose on my right ankle
-wolf sillouhette on my left thigh
I have never gotten turned down for a job due to my tattoos (accounting/consulting) and anyone who stereotypes people with tattoos is idiotic.

I had both arms tatooed when I was a young sailor. I was drunk ashore in Hongkong at the time....and fell under the influence of a friend who was crazy about them.
Later when I returned to UK I had them surgically removed, which was both painful and expensive.
All this may have affected my attitude but try as I will to be open-minded, I now find that tatoos are demeaning. I know it's prejudice but to me it makes men look low-life and women cheap. I know you can name me many famous people with these 'works of art' adorning their bodies......but it makes no difference, I cannot help regarding it as degrading exhibitionism. I hope that those with tatoos reading this will forgive my narrow-mindedness, I just can't help it.
There are a lot of others like me out there who are too polite to tell you this .....but please think twice before getting a tatoo. It's easy to put on but hard to get off. And what seems like a bit of fun or fashionable now could affect your whole life.
Thanks for allowing me this point of view.

yes i do, it's a large blue rose and it's on my left breast (covering the name of my boyfriend which we did ourselves with ink from school!!)
I always liked having my tattoo as it was just part of me - but i've had it 10 years now and don't like to show off my boobs as much as i used to!
Over the last couple of month i have considered having it removed as it just doesn't seem professional and whatever top i wear it always ends up showing! I hate it when i'm talking to someone about business and feel their eyes gaze down a little.
I wouldn't recommend to anyone to get one - if it's what they really want then fine, but we all change as we get older!
Oh by the way i'm female!

Female. I have three tattoos: one that wraps around my ankle and goes down to my foot - it looks like a rosary but it's not since there's an S in place of a cross, two stars tattooed on my inner wrist, and a logo from my favorite guitarist's website which I took and distored on my lower back.

Guy:
Right shoulder-custom tribal piece that extends to my right elbow and around the arm in places.
Left shoulder-Japanese red sun with the Kanji symbol for "Harmony" embedded in black
Chest-tribal piece similar to right shoulder, but a bit thinner.
Planning on getting a transmutation circle design from the Fullmetal Alchemist series done sometime soon as my back piece. Ow, dammit! :D
