I've been having a really bad mouth problem since a root canal (1 week ago exactly today). The problem was not the root canal (the pain from that is very minor to what I'm experiencing now).

I've already gone to my doctor about this & a walk-in clinic for a second opinion and definetly did not get what I was looking for. I've chewed out a huge chunk of my cheek, therefor I'm massively swollen and infected on one side. It's getting so bad now that the gland on that side is the side of a golf ball, my throat is infected, tongue puffy & sores on it, nose stuffy and eye watering constantly (all and only on that one side).

They gave me aspirin & a swab to put freezing gel on it (which makes it worse cause then I chew on it more). I hate doctors here now! --Idiots.

My mum gave me a bottle of percocets: Which I'm now out of & didn't find they helped much for pain.
Went through a bottle of T3's and advil same effect.

Anymore advice? PLEASE!
Preferably not prescribed: Doc. = Retarded.

Forgot to mention: I'm on my second round of antibiotics & have been rinsing with warm, salt-water 4 times a day.
This infection is pretty much consuming up all my time; and not seeming to get better very fast.

I'm in Canada, not a thirdworld Country. Although I'm sure some would argue on that statement now, haha.

I live in a third world country and I find I get better medical care than I did when I lived in the USA. I know that people would be surprised by that statement. But it's the truth.

You're going to have to see an ear nose and throat specialist because it sounds like the infection is now throughout your entire sinus system.

Try sucking on Popsicles to help numb the area and this will reduce the pain. Afterwards rinse your mouth with clean cold water that you have stored in the refrigerator. This will help take the sugar out. You should find some pain relief from this.

if you have any further questions please let me know,

I can't believe that they didn't at the very least give you anti biotics. You need to march back into your dentist office and demand that they care for you properly or the next stop you make will be at a lawyers office. This is ridiculous and your dentist is ultimately responsible for you until your condition has healed, it was his liability because it was the Novocain that made you bite your cheek. The problem may stem from you asking for pain pills because doctors are Leary of that, but you have something wrong with you that demands antibiotics. You cannot avoid this, because a mouth infection is very dangerous, all those nerves and glands are so close to your brain. I don't know where you live but what you are saying sounds like its in some 3rd world country or something. Let me know what happens!!!

An ear nose and throat specialist is what you need, as it seems your infection has spread to your sinuses and such. If your gland is swollen, it is rather serious. You need antibiotics, not just pain killers. I know you said no docs, but at this point, I don't think you have much of a choice.
