I have no evidence that there is life after death. I'm more worried about getting a life before death.

If you ask religiously, yes and no. Some religions like Hinduism believes in re-incarnation, some other like Christianity not, however, there also is a mention of judgment day and dispatch to heaven and hell respectively - will it be life after (a few thousand years of) death ?

Scientifically, a matter never get destroyed, it just changes form. So your life which is in the form of blood and bones and skins will take some other form, say nitrogen, and will take another form of plant, when this nitrogen will be consumed by that plant. And it will go so on.

So; Yes and No ?

Yes...Does not a seed " die " to release the life of a growing plant. " Shells " die to release the life that is sprung from that precious nurturing " shell " (body, seed, Big Bang, etc.)

With the seed bursting open to spring forth life...When a physical body dies to release the soul to the Pure Light...that is when we come to feel more alive than we do now. It's stunning, precious, natural. Yet...it is to happen in it's own naturally lived time frame. Physical death releases these souls from these physical bodies to release into the Light. That Light is Pure Love. And how more alive can a being...a soul be than to feel the " life " of the Pure Light of Love. ?

The Light is within all, felt more deeply by some than others, seen by some . . .There very much is Life after death. In the meantime...growth is not be be rushed. We're nurtured by experiences in these ' shells ' these bodies. All experiences only serve to enhance the growth of soul. Embrace all and glimpses of the Light can be seen before these precious bodies release into Pure Light.

(John 5:28-29) 28 Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.

(Acts 24:15) 15 and I have hope toward God, which hope these [men] themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.

(Revelation 20:13-15) 13 And the sea gave up those dead in it, and death and Ha´des gave up those dead in them, and they were judged individually according to their deeds. 14 And death and Ha´des were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second death, the lake of fire. 15 Furthermore, whoever was not found written in the book of life was hurled into the lake of fire.

(Matthew 10:28) 28 And do not become fearful of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; but rather be in fear of him that can destroy both soul and body in Ge·hen´na.

(Mark 3:28-30) . . .Truly I say to YOU that all things will be forgiven the sons of men, no matter what sins and blasphemies they blasphemously commit. 29 However, whoever blasphemes against the holy spirit has no forgiveness forever, but is guilty of everlasting sin.” 30 This, because they were saying: “He has an unclean spirit.”
so those who do not see Jesus as the Messiah will not have a resurrection. If they talk against him they are lost.

We do not know really what life is, do we? ... what is the spark that animates organic matter from a collection of bones and blood and transforms it into a living creature with emotions, will, and intellect?

We do know that once matter exists, it is never truly eradicated from existence on a molecular level.... it is simply transformed .

it is not unlikely to suppose that the same principle might apply to the undefinable spark known as life.

But all of this is speculation. More important is the question... do you have life today?

Are you living your life, or are you letting circumstances live it for you?

A life of virtue is never wasted, no matter what happens next.

In fact, there is no death because Soul, the image of God that we are, never dies. What happens when we die is that Soul drops the physical body and moves on to another plane of God to continue Its existence. This is similar to when we change bus or train on the way to a far place.

Yes, Jesus says, "I go to prepare a place for you and if I go, I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am you shall be also. Jesus was resurrected by the power of the Holy Spirit of God and unless a person is born of this same Spirit they shall in no wise enter this place which Jesus is preparing now. We are born spirit beings yet the spirit of man has been defiled and in need of cleansing and Christ Jesus is the only one that can and will wash away the filth from our life and prepare us for heaven. No, religion saves no one for Jesus has also said, "You must be born again in order to enter the kingdom of God!" You can not be good enough or earn one's way into heaven, it is given freely and one only has to believe it and confess it to others that you have made Jesus LORD and you shall be saved, Romans 10:9-10..
