I have thick heavy hair. It is not usually tender to brush or fix. Every so often I get a sore spot in my head. Almost like what people get when they have had their hair in a tight pony tail.

I am having this problem right now but my hair has been down all day. What could be causeing my head to be tender?

I know this may sound strange, but the weight of your hair can pull on your head and cause this sore spot. If you are willing to cut your hair it would reduce the weight stressing your scalp. for now place an ice pack on the spot for ten minutes at a time. See if this can take down the tenderness.
