This question is to clear up an argument that I had over a "spare the rod" conversation I had earlier...

Spare the Rod spoil the child verse means to discipline. I would never disown my child ever.

Nothing. My child is a gift from God and there is nothing in this world that will ever come between me and my child. I would never disown my child.

if my child drove a mustang
or if, at any point during their life, they argued that San Antonio won on fair terms
ok, honest answer, i would say rape or pedofilia, but i think if i had a child guilty of either one of those I would be partly responsible (upbringing, wasnt around enough, blehbleh you know the drill) and therefore couldnt disown him/her
so i guess, nothing

I don't believe that anything would make me disown my son. I am sure there are things that would make me not like him so much, or be disappointed or even horrified if he did them, but he is my son and I will love him always.

I MUST pattern my parenthood after that of my Lord. All of us rebel against His to one level or another. He then gave up everything to win us back. He did it He didn't ask anything in return. If He can do that I can love my children unconditionally... Jim

in his life and guess what...I still love him..
"A mothers love is unconditional"
My son was a gift from GOD...sometimes I do wonder what wonderful thing I did in
my life to deserve such a wonderful son.
