Women, esp. young women, are just shaped that way. As you get older musculature changes a bit and things even out. There's not much you can do besides toning the muscles with maybe stepping, or swimming, or cycling.

Wow...have you looked at anyone else's legs lately? They all get smaller at the bottom, too.
I won't make fun of you for being skinny, but it's tempting to make fun of you for being extremely unobservant! Even infants with fat rolls on their ankles have legs that are bigger at the top than they are at the bottom.
Imagine if your ankles were the same size as your thighs! You wouldn't be able to get your shoes on! And if your thighs were as thin as your ankles, you wouldn't be able to support the rest of your body...you'd tip over like a pumpkin on a toothpick.

Well if u mean u have very skinny calves but reasonable size thighs then i get ya...i to have this and fat bits at the very top of my thighs so count yaself lucky lol...i wouldnt worry about it love x

Love, you're worrying too much. Your legs at the bottom (I assume you mean your ankles) are definitely meant to be much smaller than the rest of your legs.
See your doctor, and he will reassure you. You say you're not anorexic, but I doubt you would recognise being ill like that, anyway. Please see a nurse or doctor.

Because if your legs were the same all the way down you will have legs like little Lotta from the comic books. You will look very very odd. Be happy you have legs at all, as long as they serve you well appreciate them:)))

what you are describing is a normal healthy leg. They naturally taper down from thicker at the top of yoru thigh to thinner at your ankle.

it's normal, the top part of our legs is usually refered to the thighs, which holds one of the largest muscles on our body.
