We are A very small community and are having a problem with tire disposal at our solid waste sight. We are even getting tires from our nieghboring state due to the fee they have to pay for tire disposal.

Throughout Europe tires (or tyres as we spell them) can be taken to a household waste recycling facility for free where they're shredded into granulated rubber which has many applications including road surfaces. I would have though such facilities would exist in the US - if not there's a good business proposal for you, a lot of money can be made from recycling old tires.

If no such facility exists you're limited to making swings, obstacle courses and flower tubs out of them.

If there is a disposal station for things like batteries, cellphones, old computers, etc (things that cannot be sent to the landfill) call them. They might have an idea of what to do.
Tires can be used to store grain and to hold down large sheets of plastic on farms. If there are farms where you live you might want to give them a call as well.

Call your sanitation department or local your government, they can tell you where to dispose of tires in your area. You may be able to recycle the tires they are now being used in playgrounds to protect your children from getting hurt when they fall.
