My hands started getting a weird burning sensation like 20 minutes ago. It feels like i just climbed a rope and slid all the way down. There's no redness or anything, the skins not dried out or anything like that, it's just burning. Anyone have any ideas what might be going on?

To those asking what I was doing at the time, i was taking a shower so now i'm kinda thinking it's just a reaction to either my shampoo, conditioner or soap.

You may have just used a chemical that is reacting with your hands. What did you do last? What have you touched?
A chemical burn is like that.
Another reason is a blood pressure disorder. Many say that neurological symptoms like that can mark the onset of Type 2 diabetes (maturity onset)

Check your blood pressure.
Sit down and relax. Have your blood sugar checked when you visit the doctor.

I've had that before. It can be the result of a blood rush (did the rest of your body feel warm?). What were you doing when it happened? (i.e. had you been on the computer a very long time or using the mouse a long time/ perhaps cutting veggies or anything else in the kitchen with a knife?) I would not panic. If it happens again however, you may talk to a dr and you should be prepared to answer the question: What were you doing at the time?

Several things can cause that all the way from your brain to the skin. One time, don't let it bother you but do watch for any future happenings. May have just been a one time deal. If it continues have it checked out. Pops

That is very strange. I'm tempted to suggest that there's a problem with your nervous system, since there are no visible changes to your skin.

A physician or maybe a neurologist could offer more suggestions.

Good luck!
