The first thing to remember, is NOT to resort to starving yourself. The human body has a funny way of resorting back to the "cave-man" like times and thinking "Hey, I'm not eating as often, I need to store whatever comes in, because it could be awhile before I get to eat again." which results in you gaining weight.

I suggest, you eat about 4-5 small meals, consisting of chicken (NOT FRIED), plenty of vegetables and fruits with almost no bread/pasta meals. And also drink a lot of water. If you feel the need for something sweet, drink juice or eat yogurt, both of which won't harm your diet. If during the day, you have the urge to snack, fruit is the best choice, but you can also try trail mix.

As for the exercising part of your plan...I'd advise that you do whatever works best for you; whether it be sit-ups, running, ect.

Good luck.

A good diet allows you to take in about 1200-1600 calories/day rather than 2000. You should try eating 5-6 small meals every few hours. Here's a sample schedule of things that I eat every day (I'm not really doing it for "dieting" reasons, but because it's really just an overall healthier lifesytle).

Wake up at 9am
Breakfast of Lowfat Yogurt and a banana (190 calories)
30 minutes cardio excersize
Shower/Get ready for the day

Small Snack in between breakfast and lunch
9 small baby carrots (35 calories)
1 Reduced Fat String Cheese ( 50 calories)

Total So far= 275 Calories

Lunch- Lean Cuzine (Whatever type you want, usually varies between 220-300 calories) I typically have about 280 with my lunch.
Plus a serving of whole grain goldfish Lunch total= 420 Cal.

Total So far= 695 Calories

Afternoon Snack, Teddy Grahmns ( 140 Calories)

Total So far 835 Calories

And then I try to keep my dinner between 500 and 700 calories (and incorporate veggies, obviously) Which typically makes my total somewhere around 1400 for the day.

Then I usually try to do some strength training or something of that sort to get in a little extra excersize.

Obviously you can do whatever you want but if youre serious about trying to live a healthier lifestyle, incorporate lots of healthy foods and fun excersizes.

Good luck.

Oh also, remember that being healthier doesn't happen over night, it's a lifestyle not a diet.

maybe ur diet plan wasn't helping your purpose. Make sure you look at foods with less fat and by that I don't mean foods in containers that say "low-fat" as they are usually not true or have some other crappy substitute that doesn't do u any better. If u wanna lose midsection fat, try doing an ab workout atleast 3 times a week and there are videos on it. I've done one video by Billy Banks I think it was and you can sure feel that burn and that is a good thing!!

Remember starving urself is definitely the wrong way to lose weight and so are protein shakes and such, just be careful with what you eat!!

much love!!

I have the perfect ideas for you that work 100%. If You're up to it, this should not be a problem for you and it will make you faster, leaner, stronger, and much sexier. It will build you a body of a person that is dedicated.

SPRINT! <-------------------MOST IMPORTANT!
JUMPROPE! <-------------------

Sprint 3 or 4, 40 or 50 yard sprints three times a week, with rest days between them. Also do a little weight lifting to boost your metabolism. Research about sprinting online.

Jumproping works great because it burns fat and speeds up your metabolism for long periods of time.

Sprinting can keep your metabolism pumping for days, literally, not just while you're are running. Jogging just speeds it up while running, but spriting is long worth it. Just find that little something that will push you to go further then last time and DO IT! Enjoy your new body.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Try the South Beach diet, it really worked for my parents and my neighbors. They lost like 8 pounds in the first week! And now they are a lot healthier eaters and you don't even miss your old lifestyle after you are on your way. And try swimming for exercize. It can burn 600 calories in only an hour and it builds muscle, which burns more calories at rest.

If you were doing that and did not drop any weight, you need to go see the Pope because it would be a miracle.
