Do you really have to believe for a ouija board to work and why does it have to be more than one person for it to work.

Ouija boards are kinda like believing in God ... one of the players has to have an agenda or it wont work

Ouija boards are nothing more than a toy. They function by a process known as ideomotor control. Ideomotor movements are movements made by the body in such a subtle way that the conscious mind is not involved in the movement.
It is possible to use a Ouija alone, however, with two people working it, it is easier to move the planchette without the movements becoming conscious -- the fingers sense the movement by the initiator and move in kind.
There is nothing demonic or spiritual about the Ouija Board. It has been thoroughly and utterly debunked as a serious tool.

The Ouija board is VERY DANGEROUS if only treated like a toy. There should be more than one person with you (a physic would be best) to see if the spirit is is good or bad.
Toys R Us are putting many small children in danger by having Ouija boards as toys. The board is a tool to contact spirits and it can let a demon out. I am not saying the board is not totally unsafe because I have made some very kind ghostly friends but it is best if you have someone that can tell if the spirit you are contacting is good or bad.

Ouija boards work on your subconscious. There is no spirit that is pushing. That's why the guy above mentioned the board spelling out yellow after having thought about yellow. His subconscious took control and spelled the word that happened to be on his mind. Now if it had spelled a word that he hadn't been thinking, then there would be reason to be awestruck.

I'm not sure that Ouija boards work or don't work. But what I do know that any attempt to reach the dead is dangerous. You are opening yourselves up to the influence of demonic spirits.
