didnt have your cell phone on you.

didnt feel well and slept most of the day, only getting up to yack and crap.

you DID call and leave a messege - they didnt get it?

someone you know had passed away and you spent the entire night in the hospital consoling the family. once you left you just go thome and passed out, waking up about 20 minutes after work had let out.

you had an earache which madeyou dizzy and whenever you got up off the couch you'd feel nauseus. you didnt call anyone because it would make you sick just to talk.

Reasons To Call Into Work

2016-09-30 02:52:01 · answer #2 · answered by ? 4 · 0 0

just show up tomorrow and act like nothing's wrong. when they ask you where you were, tell them you got food poisoning and left a message, then say something like "you didn't get the message?" that should work once. unless you've done this in the past.

i hate going in to work too, but when i do play hookey, i always make up an excuse. if you have kids, they are perfect excuses for not going into work. my kid is sick, my kid has the day off school and i just found out, my kid has an appointment i need to take them to, etc.

There are no good excuses for not going into work and not calling. Every boss expects a phone call.

I'm a store manager, and if an employee doesn't call to say they can't make it, their automatically fired.

I've had to go to the hospital in the middle of the night a few times, and I made sure that one of my parents contacted my bosses for me.

None, actually. It means you just didn´t care. If it is the first time and you have been in the job for a long time it might not be that bad, say it will never happen again but you lost your cellphone, your house phone was off, your internet was off and you felt so so so sick you could not go and find a public phone.
Good luck.

You were kidnapped by bank robbers who broke into your home and forced you to be their driver to the bank and then pass the note to the unsuspecting teller. But you managed to catch the attention of a bank security guard. The police were notified but the robbery quickly turned into a hostage negotiation. After hours of intense negotiations between the police and yourself, whom the robbers chose as their voice you talked the robbers into giving themselves up and walked out a hero!
Or you chould just not show back up to the job you were too hung over or stoned to go to because chances are your boss has already replaced you.

I can think of lots of reasons for not going to work, but not calling is another story, there is no excuse.

Uh, unless you go back with an official written statement from a genuine physician saying that you were physically incapacitated, I think you're out of a job.
