Thanks for all the fantastic replies! Kids are really great! Being a Mom is the best job I ever had! It is going to be really difficult to pick a best answer as they are all really good.

Last night we were sitting on the deck eating Popsicles and my son's was melting and then slipped right off the stick. He ran inside, grabbed a rag & cleaned it up. Then he came to me and said "I'm sorry for making a mess Mommy but I cleaned it up!" He is 3.
I figure if I can teach him manners & how to clean up after himself then I have done a pretty good job.

Our 4 year old has a problem sticking his fingers in his nose. Well at the table while eating an ice cream cone which was melting onto his fingers reached inside his nose, then inhaled and gasped with an unrepeatable sound when he felt the chocolate being sucked up into his naval cavity.

Yay for your color-sorting son!

My 13 month old is, well, a mere step away from walking. But what she does now is awesome. She stands up without holding on to anything and just GRINS like she knows that freedom is just outside of her reach. Then she falls on to her butt and laughs. It's so great. We all cheer for her.

Best-

My daughter just turned 1. 2 weeks before her birthday she did a couple of things that I was impressed with.
She found the cap to our bottled water, and instead of giving it to me, like she usually does, she found the bottle it belonged to and tried to put it back on.
We were at the doctors office and I was sitting down. She pointed behind my shoulder and said, "Santa". I was like yea, right, whatever. A few minutes later I turned around and sure enough there was a picture of a kid sitting on Santa's lap. She had a personal visit at the apartment by Santa on Christmas eve, so I guess she remembered him.

He is 10.5 months old and is a walking giggling monkey! He recently went over to our dog who was sleeping and gave her a hug and laid down with her....it was awesome.

The other great picture that we got was of him standing IN the refrigerator pulling everything off of the shelves.

Kids are the best!

My two year old daughter was lining up her blocks yesterday and I could hear her counting them as she did. She counted all the way up to twenty in English and she did it again in Spanish!! Yeeeeeayyy! I grew up in a bilingual household and was afraid two languages would be confusing to her. But she is doing so good with naming things in spanish and english, im so proud of her!

OMG, my 7 month old sat up in her crib all by herself! And I was napping! I know I laid her down to take a nap, and when I went to check on her near the end of her naptime, there she is, just sitting there looking around. She hasn't done it again since, but I see her practicing.
