I mean really, why do some of you cling to this notion we're all miserable with your fantasy god? Is it that difficult for you to comprehend that people can be happy without your god? What about buddhists and hindus then, are they miserable without your god?
Is that the only way you can feel good about yourself and your beliefs??

And many of you continue to delude yourselves. This question wasn't asked in anger, but frustration. Being frustrated doesn't make you unhappy either people. Is there only an OFF or an ON switch with some of you?

It is justification. How can someone feel sorry for you if you are not lonely and sad without God.
But then again, why is it important for some atheists to believe Christians are stupid, idiotic, brainwashed, fools because we believe in God?
Is it that difficult to understand that we can be very intelligent individuals WITH God?
Don't get me wrong, I don't presume one way or the other, but you have to admit, there are more than a few atheists that hate Christians for no reason other than the fact that we believe.

Aren't SOME atheists sad and lonely? Don't SOME atheists prey on the weak-minded to make themselves look more intelligent than they really are by spewing rhetoric from their Philosophy professor or some Internet site that no one has every heard of? I mean - why would you post this question unless you wanted some attention in the first place? There is no educational value, nor are you actually inquiring about something that will benefit your life. Sure, there might be a smug sense of satisfaction by believing your question is held most revered by other atheists with similar opinions...at this moment, but other than that, no value, just like hateful opinions.

Some people are raised to see a Black and White world with no Gray. You know the old Disney view of the world? The evil villians are always ugly old and alone and the hero is always beautiful/strong and wins? Well some people have this absurd notion that if your a Christian your the white and if your not your the Black. They refuse to accept that there's a gray, and even Christians reside in that gray.

Did you see that piece on 20/20 last week. It focused on this atheist girl whose family moved to the farm belt for a bigger house and a farm. The eldest daughter is a phenom basketball player. She chose not to participate in the traditional pre-game prayer. It was held in the center of the gym with the players and anyone else who wanted, would form a hand holding circle and bow their heads down in prayer. She felt it would be insulting to "fake it". That whole school ostracized her to the point she couldn't bear to attend school any more. Her parents are home schooling her for her peace of mind and safety. When the Principal was asked about it he said that no one was purposely "harassing" her. She made me think of Jesus and the way he was treated. Shame on those "Christians" of that school. Yes, they did succeed in making a child feel sad miserable and lonely.

I don't think atheists are unhappy. I am a believer and my kids step-mom is an atheist. She's happy in her world her Earth, while she has it. She doesn't worry about her soul when she dies so I am sure that makes her happy and her earthly goods make her happy, too. She needs all that stuff because when she's gone, it's just ashes or the cold, hard ground. So, she might as well enjoy and she does. I don't see any misery there. Where do you get your notions anyway? From Jim and Tammy or something?

I have no idea because I really couldn't say why anyone would make that generalization and I am a Christian. Also, to be very honest I can't really say why anybody would think that, mostly because I've always heard ignorance is bliss :-D

It's yet another generalization that *some* christians use to reinforce their belief that they are right, and everyone else is wrong.
They are also imagining themselves if they still believed in God but were somehow seperated from him - they would be miserable.

I don't think atheists are sad at all. They appear to be content and happy with their accumulated worldly knowledge. Period.
I just don't think they are aware of a everlasting joy beyond the temporal happiness achieved within this world. And that joy can only be found through Jesus Christ.

Do you really think Christians feel one way or another about one that has no faith in a God that loves and protects us. I do not care if you are happy or sad,but contrary to what you know God cares ,you are still his creation and he loves his. but Satan gets a kick out of your ways and belief. Just like one to point a finger at other religions to make yourself look small. Jesus is the one and the Spirit of God makes us feel good about us and our faith. It is all about God...not you ,not any other religion, just him....

I don't believe all Atheists are sad, lonely pathetic individuals.I think they are wrong, but it's their right to be wrong. I feel good about myself and my Christian beliefs all on my own. It has nothing to do with Atheists.
