Why don't most lower church Protestants attend church everyday as they often quote to Saturday sabbath keepers that everyday today is the sabbath? (This belief on everyday sabbath stems from a biblical verse found in Galatians I believe)

Catholics and Eastern Orthodox Churches are open everyday for Christian worship. They also regularly practise prayer and the breaking of bread every time they worship God which is also mentioned as common practise of the disciples in NT scripture why not in Protestantism?

someone asks what do you mean by lower churches/ This is in no way derogatory, it means non-liturgical churches, such as Pentecostals, Baptists, FourSquare, Indepentant groups. High church would be some Lutheran, some Presbyterian, Anglican etc.

Somehow most of you are missing the mark with your answers. This is not a question on whether you are Catholic or not. Read it again, the question relates to your responses of everyday sabbath to Saturday sabbath keepers. You'd think if that was true your community would be up for Godly worship anyday on the calendar yet the majority of Protestant churches are closed during the weekdays.

daisy good to hear, but bible study is not worship. This is a big problem as some smaller communities come together like a college lecture hall with pen and paper to take notes not understanding this is not how to authenticly honor God and worship him.

Does your Bible state that Jesus was in the synagogue everyday?

In our beliefs, we do not need to be in a physical man-made building to worship God, but it is a daily part of our lives as we do everything to His glory and honor, teaching our children His commandments and singing praises unto Him. In the New Covenant that Jesus fulfilled, we became the temples.
.
Acts 5:42 "And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ."
I Cor. 16:19 Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.

Roman Catholicism is not Christian..... There is only One True Church... The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head... The Church meets where ever and whenever two or more are gathered in His name... The Sabbath is The Seventh Day. By The Jewish calender... which means from sundown on Friday until sundown on Saturday... That is The Sabbath of The Fourth Commandment.... this is confirmed by the Roman Catholic writing as well... The Sunday Sabbath was instituted by the Roman cult by decree and not from God... The Pope himself can not deny this... it is in their history.... The majority of Christians do not properly keep The Sabbath..... there is no call from God to formally worship every day... The commandment is to "love The Lord thy God with all thy heart, all thy soul, all thy mind, and with all thy strength".... That is a full time deal, and dose not require formality... just familiarity... with God

As a Catholic i have been to numerous Protestant Funerals in fact the last one i attended was at a Church that i believe is anti Catholic, but i did not go to worship or listen to a Preacher preach but to support a friend in his loss and to pay respect to his wife. When my wife died there were mostly Protestants at the funeral mass, and all were more than appreciated and welcomed, and no conversion attempts. My wife's family are Lutherans and when her oldest sister died we had apparently make some Catholic acts such as crossing our selves and the Minister made a rude comment about Catholics which my Priest at my Church would have never done to the Protestants attending my wife's funeral but i'm sure not all Lutheran Ministers are that rude. So tell your friend your still going even if they do not respect your values. And trust me there is nothing Christian or Pastoral about Chris as i suspect he has the spirit of Satan not GOD.

Because we are not Catholics and Eastern Orthodox Churches.

My church is opened on specific days of the week. Like today we had weekly bible study, tonight the Spanish bible meeting is held the Youth groups.

Wednesdays is mid-week bible study, and youth programs and Thursday is choir practice. There are meetings on Saturday nights too.

We break bread at anytime, but the standard time is the 1st of each month.

It is called "independen" preference.

The sabbath was meant as a day of rest... not as a day to put on some pretty clothes and pretend to be something you are not.

:0)

Your sabbath doesn't have to be on the same day as my sabbath. The principle behind it all is that God wants us to take time off for our family and loved ones.

Because we don't need to go to a building to worship, The Holy Spirit Lives with-in us. We (each believer) IS the church.

A building is only an object just like a statue, destroy either and it is gone...but the real temple (our bodies) is a place of worship 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

"lower church Protestants"? Your agenda is showing.
An authentic question from you would be nice...

The "church" is made of the body of believers, not a physical place. As such we "attend" everyday. Abiding in Christ, living by His Spirit within us. Our "abiding" causes us to worship Him, to contemplate on God's will, and to be in prayer.

You speak of "works" and outward signs. Get real with your relationship with Christ and our living God.

They pick and choose what they think Scripture means. It's Scripture of convenience for them. If they like it, it is true, if not, it doesn't exist or Catholics changed it or some other excuse why they don't have to follow it. They are all their own little Pope huh?
