I had this problem for a long time too. I was stuck at the same weight for almost a year while trying to lose, also in a cycle like that, you are very restrictive for a few days then you binge a few days. For me, it was always easier to cut out dangerous foods completely. That's a bad habit! You may think it's harder to eat just a bit of those bad foods than not eat them all together, but you can't deprive yourself. Moderation is a hard skill to develop, it's much harder than deprivation, but it's what gets results. The most important thing is to keep your diet consistant, never binge. You can have a hamburger once in a while, but never think "well, if i'm already having the hamburger, i'm already blowing it so i might as well have the fries." Get out of the all or nothing mentality, or you'll end up with nothing.

Cut out carbs. Start eating 6 times a day smaller quantities. To help you do this, use a smaller plate and silverware, that way when you put the food onto your plate it looks like a lot. Take your time eating. Eat a lot of protein, milk, yogurt, meats, cheese, cottage cheese etc... Stay away from junk and pop, if you have to drink pop make it diet. This is all going to be about self control, do not weigh your self daily, only once a week. Good Luck!

Looks like 1200 is a bit too low then. Try out 1500 for a week and then decrease. Your stomach should have shrunk with the 1500 so you can then go for the 1200.
And eat about 5 times a day, I've found that this really works as far as stomach shrinking goes.

To lose weight successfully, you should know the food that you eat can either make you THIN or FAT!!!
Yes,it is really important. You should know the truth:
1.Low Fat Foods DON'T always WORK...
2.Low Calorie Diets DON'T always WORK...
3.Low Carb Plans DON'T always WORK...
I followed the guide above and I lost 10 lbs in 7 days and then 30 lbs in less than a month.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

I guess I can't give you any advice because I am in the SAME FREAKING BOAT and it sucks. In fact, I had just very gradually lost 10lbs between Jan.-Feb., I hardly even noticed I lost the weight. And then in March (ONE MONTH), I gained it all back! (and THAT, I noticed) I was horrified.

I'm sorry that you have to deal with this, i really am. I would never wish it on anybody.

But I guess I'm not being encouraging or anything, but....oh never mind! Just know you're not alone. I wish we like..knew each other or were neighbors and maybe we could help each other. But this is life, eh?
