yeah...it means the kid is MOST likely going to die unfortunetly>>>

it's when the kid that's sick gets to make ONE wish that they want to do...and people with a heart help that person get what they want by buying the product, or just generally granting their wish

The Make A Wish Foundation grants wishes to child who have a life threatening medical condition. Life threatening DOES NOT mean that the condition has to be terminal. Only that without proper care the child could die.

Take cancer, for an example. All cancer is life threatening. You will die from it if not treated. However many survive.

Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. The Foundation's mission reflects the life-changing impact that a Make-A-Wish® experience has on children, families, referral sources, donors, sponsors and entire communities.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation was founded in 1980 after a little boy named Chris Greicius realized his heartfelt wish to become a police officer. Since its humble beginnings, the organization has blossomed into a worldwide phenomenon, reaching more than 144,000 children around the world.

Although it has become one of the world's most well-known charities, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has maintained the grassroots fulfillment of its mission.

A network of more than 25,000 volunteers enable the Make-A-Wish Foundation to serve children with life-threatening medical conditions. Volunteers serve as wish granters, fundraisers, special events assistants and in numerous other capacities.

As the Foundation continues to mature, its mission will remain steadfast. Wish children of the past, present and future will have an opportunity to share the power of a wish®.

Yes, the Make a Wish Foundation is an organization committed to granting wishes for dying children and/or those with lifelong afflictions (such as severely disabled cerebal palsy victims needing total and complete care with mobility, feeding, bathing, toileting, etc.). It will provide visits from celebrities, give gifts of choice, provide vacations...whatever the child wishes (and includes their family members as well) in order to make his/her final days as pleasant and worry-free as possible not only for the child but for the family as well. It is a wonderful charity to donate to as it helps to provide a ray of sunshine (even if only small) to an unfortunate situation.

Make a Wish is a wonderful, wonderful organization that grants wishes to children and teenagers with life threatening diseases. What's the difference . . . they grant wishes to kids who LIVE too . . but who because of treatments for their disease always live under the cloud of uncertainty.

They are absolutely wonderful. We had Make a Wish come two years ago. They granted my son a home theater with all the fixings. It's still a big hit, especially with the Wii hooked up to the wide screen tv.

The foundation literally takes the wishes of terminally ill kids and makes it come true. I've seen kids get trips to DisneyWorld or they set up a meet and greet with their favorite athlete. A wonderful foundation.

No it is essentially a "last wish" for dieing kids. Where before they pop off they can go to disney world or something.
My sister worked for a similar organization and one kid wished to recreate the entire homealone 2 movie with him starring as kevin. And they of course had to comply.

And I say this bluntly because the only wish that any of these kids really want is to live. Thats why I dont like the organization.
