Coincidence is just coincidence. Signs are consequences explainable by science and logic. Insects that act strangely before an earthquake because they can sense the undetectable disturbance under the ground.

Coincidence things just happen and don't try to look for signs.
Like God has nothing better to do then try to give you signs.

Your question is simple but if you try to dig deeper into the word itself (Co-Incidence) - you will find the wonder (kind of Alice's WonderLand) !!!
Our knowledge of 'Co-Incidence' is still limited - But Co-Incidence believers has been around as long as mankind's civilization !
The first people who can shed light on Co-Incidence Myth are mathematicians, scientists..
Here is one :
"The Mandelbrot set is a dynamic calculation based on the iteration (calculation based on constant feedback) of complex numbers with zero as the starting point. The order behind the chaotic production of numbers created by the formula z -> z2 + c can only be seen by the computer calculation and graphic portrayal of these numbers. Otherwise the formula appears to generate a totally random and meaningless set of numbers. It is only when millions of calculations are mechanically performed and plotted on a two dimensional plane (the computer screen), that the hidden geometric order of the Mandelbrot set is revealed. The order is of a strange and beautiful kind."
Order out of Chaos - Yes

Neither, there are only mathematical probabilities, no such thing as coincidence or signs from on high.

I don't believe in coincidence. I believe in Karma, fate, destiny and the ability to change all of them.

I believe everything happens for a reason. It not always a sign, but there is a reason for it.
