Why on this site, do some people say its racist to say "illegal alien", then turn around and bash "whities", "crackers", and "gringos"? Why is it ok for them to say these things, but no one else can - especially those of us who never address any race, only laws and legal issues?

I've been asking that same thing for months now.
It's how the U.S. is set up ... blame all the bad stuff on the cracker and make them feel like crap for being in existent .

It's not racist to say "illegal alien". It is racist to say "beaner", "*******", "breeder", "Pedro", and the gazillion other stereotypes that get propagated during the immigration debate.
Take a look at responses to ANY question on these boards about immigration, and the racism and hatred is obvious. The anti-immigrant coalition has a serious image problem. The fact that your contingent has attracted every uneducated xenophobe in North America is the reason.

Why have an excuse to use any of those terms? They only make you look angry when you use them. Any argument made out of anger loses its credibility. Name calling is about the person calling the name, not the person who is being denigrated.

It's not OK, but whites typically have the power, so who cares if people point that out? And it's not racist to attack illegal aliens on the grounds that they are here illegally. You are attacking people who break laws, not people who belong to a race.

Doesn't make any sense to me either. I still don't understand (i'm half black now so don't call me racist), but why is it black people get away with saying black power, and stuff like that and its cool, but imagine if a white guy had a white power bumper sticker and rolled through a predominantly black neighborhood.

This is what a civilization looks like when it is near the tipping point - moving from reason to irrational emotion.
I fear we are already there.

The lib's motto is... "Live the Double Standard". If people disagree with their viewpoint .... let the name calling begin. Hopefully someday the children will grow up... although some never do.

These people are usually immature and ignorant, or are just plain obnoxious.
