it's so golly-gee-darn cold outside? I mean, come on--it's May! It's common sense, right?

Aren't you glad you clicked my question?

Hold your horses there, cowboy! Or I'll jam you into your 10-gallon hat. (probably be an easy fit, too) Everybody else is having fun, lose the chip on the shoulder.

PS: No one owes you anything

Scientists once thought the world was flat, then they thought that the Universe revolved around the Earth...

Geologists have proving that that global climate has changed by studing core samples, and that magnetic north has changed and is still changing...

Come on, enough already. The "scientists" are all guessing and have no real proof that we are causing global warming.

If an ice age is the result of global warming, then how did previous ice ages happen without the combustible engine and fossil fuel energy plants.

Let's face it, God gave us this green earth to use for our needs. It came with a catch though. We have to be good stewards of what we have. Regardless of global warming, we should be doing the responsible thing and find ways to help the environment.

Maybe if we weren't so greedy and self centered selfish people (I'm guilty of this, too), then we would realize how our everyday lives could easily be changed to help instead of hurt.

Besides, God will end our time when he is ready. Until then, we are responsible for taking care of what we have.

You know what I find amazing; it's just the vitriol that some people display when "global warming" is questioned. It reminds me of religious people that have one of their beliefs challenged, or when a political ideologue is asked a question which puts their party in a bad light.
It doesn't even matter when you tell them that you're all for less pollution, it's just that you don't completely buy into the pop-media hysteria.
I also like the "most scientists say" argument. While I'm sure Copernicus and Galileo faced people like that, I'm glad that they stuck to their guns and sought out the truth. Fact is the key;
Polar caps on Mars are shrinking

The Earth has gone through multiple climate changes before SUV's

When you look at multiple sources of data about Earth's temperature, it conflicts

Global warming could be beneficial to some places

I hate pollution

Why the vitriol?

i'm no denier, yet screw international warming and Al Gore. the former is turning out to be a distraction and the latter has continually been a doofus with the dynamic charm of a cardboard field. This subject has become so politicized (thank you, Al Gore), that we could desire to take a step returned and concentration on separate, yet appropriate themes we can all agree on. How on the topic of the reality that we are paying for dwindling oil reserves from fundamentalist Muslims who hate us? Or that green technologies is going to be a brilliant economic money engine. overlook warming; shall we concentration on incomes revenue and national protection. the tip effect is a similar besides: burn much less oil. everyone could have the capacity to believe that. And in the experience that your argument is basically against Cap & commerce then tha'ts valid... basically handle that subject. to declare that our curent fossil gasoline conspumtion value is A-ok is ridiclous. Take your %. for the rationalization why: warming, nationael protection or economic proseperty. I take place to think of all 3 are valid; yet everyone who dimisses all 3 is a the two a entire clown, an Arab, or an Exxon worker.

Oh yes Im just dying in this heat wave of 40 degree nights/70 degree days here in michigan!!! Woo Im surpised my computer hasnt fried by now!

You know I dont mean to rain on any eco-activists parade, (or chill it) but it makes one wonder, if man IS causing manmade global warming, then shouldnt it, i dunno, maybe be....uh...warming? Shouldnt we be setting record highs everyday until the sea rises 20 feet and kills us all?

Shouldnt the month of may in michigan feel like the july or august of 10 or 50 years ago? Shouldnt the average global temperature have risen MORE than 7/10's of a degree in the last 100 years? Shouldnt we have seen exponential rises in temperature since the industrial revolution?

Simple. Melting polar ice caps releases cold water into the oceans. The oceans play a huge part in global climate.
As a result, some areas will be colder. Global warming could have the effect of bringing a new ice age.

And some will be hotter, especially areas that are arid. Take for example Arizona, which has had record heat this year already. 100+ temperatures last week, which is unusual for May. They don't usually get that kind of heat until June/July.

But judging by your past questions, you will simply laugh at anyone who disagree with you and give best answer to anyone who strokes your ego. :)

You can't focus on one specific area or another when considering global warming. Global warming is calculated by taking the average global temperature and comparing it w/ temps over the last few years/decades. Many ecological areas around the world are severely being affected by GW. Some of the poorest nations, who depend heavily on their surrounding environment, are finding the changes in weather patterns difficult to cope with, especially w/ the limited resources they have at hand.

Yup- it's May and in some places it's frigid- in fact, some parts of ME were given a forecast of possible snow for last night. Crazy! I know, but this is another factor of global warming-- weather patterns are all out of wack.

Didn't the SAME data indicate a coming ice age in the 70's? Hmmm...

If meterologists can't get tomorrow's forecast correct, what makes us think they really have a clue about a decade from now? There are plenty of credible scientists who dissent from this stuff, and maybe they have a point, maybe they don't. Alarmists, though, seem to be in control and are squelching debate.

I agree, there is a lot of scaremongering regarding this topic, and although I believe that we should all be responsible in the way we look after the earth which God has given us, I believe that too much fuss is made of the whole thing.

God's Word is true, the earth is groaning and is wearing as predicted, but it will last as long as God needs it to last.

Global warming causes cooling- its how the world stabilizes its self. The melting ice caps will pure too much fresh water into the salty oceans changing the currents. When the currents change the weather will change and it will get warm, them REALLY cold. Then back to normal again with a clean environment and a few extinct species.

I am not sure where you are living. And I am not sure also if May in your place is always like that since you were born. Why don't you try first going to places where it will prove you otherwise before you make comment.
I am glad I clicked your question because I know at least I will get two points from you.
