I have had patients who suffer from the same symptoms. The common problem when you have cysts on your ovaries is that you can't stand the pressure on your lower abdomen, and if you have constant pressure(too tight of a belt) it will even swell(or fluid retention). When i have seen this the patient more times then not, has terrible posture.. their are naturally bending over trying to protect their lower abdomen and keep the pain from returning.. Young girl/women do this when they have cramps.. if you have cysts it is like having a constant cramp.. putting extra stess on your low back muscles.. which in turn will cause the low back pain.. there were other answers which went into the worse scenario of your question, but your doctor should have done tests to rule out any other problems..

Yes. This back pain is coming from the cyst. I had to have a hysterectomy(sp.)and I had severe back, and bladder pain
You may even have sharp pain in your side when you walk with a cyst on the ovary.
The cyst may go away without surgery. I would not have surgery, unless I really had too.

It could be that the cyst is putting pressure on a nerve in your back, causing the back pain. It's very common to have ovarian cysts - and not impossible for the back pain to go away once the cyst is removed.
Good luck!

yes, this could be connected. If the cyst is large it could be placing pressure on all of your organs and placing pressure on the nerves. I assume you are going to have the cyst removed. You will know after that if it has been the cause of your back pain.

In most cases this is not related. Have you been to a doctor to remove it? iN MOST cases the body takes care of cysts by itself. But if there is severe pain or any other symptoms doctors normaly remove these. Rather speak to your Gyno, they will tell you what will be the best treatment for your situation

I wouldn't think so.
I had cyst on my ovaries from the time I was 14 years old until I had my hysterectomy.
I suffered pain in the "belly" from it, but never in my back.
If the pain continues to bother you, talk to your doctor about it, it sounds more like a possible kidney infection.
GOOD LUCK ;-)

Could be, I take it that you will be having the cyst removed? Back pain is a symptom of this problem, did you discuss this with your doc, I think you should.
