1) Read God's Word - have it nearby to refer to
2) Put on Praise and Worship music throughout the day and sing along Praising His Name
3) Renew your mind by thinking on Him throughout the day - talking to Him - just being with Him - keep your mind focused on Him, not on people (this can be hard)
4) Go to church - that helps so much during the week
5) Hang out with godly people who lift your spirits and talk about Jesus and know Him personally like yourself

I hope some of these help.

Read the gospels. A chapter immediately when you wake up and a chapter or so throughout the rest of the day. The other books of the new testament are based on Jesus, so they are great too. Also pray. A prayer doesn't have to be long and doesn't have to be done at a certain time of the day. Even a quick "Thank You Jesus" lifts me up and gets me feeling like Jesus cares.

Also, scan that dial for some great Christian Music while you drive or turn the TV and watch a Christian channel even if its for only 20-30 minutes a day.

*smile* first you seek Him, as you are doing. Good for you. Stay in the Word. Stay in fellowship with other believers. Develop a prayer life. During the day, allow God to speak to you, and listen to Him. Because He will speak to you as the course of the day unfolds. He'll show you what to do and say, what not to do and say. He will correct you, guide you. He'll indicate there's a person over there who needs a smile or a kind word or a glass of cold water. All day long, God will direct you, if you hearken to Him!

The way you stay focused is to purpose in your heart to make everything you think, do and say about Jesus, and back it up with learning His word, and speaking to Him (prayer) on a regular basis.

May God bless you for seeking Him.

Keep the Holy Spirit replenished within by: Reading the Word of God, Becoming a Prayer Warrior, Surrounding myself with others who have the Holy Spirit. Inner conviction will leads me to bear the fruits of spirit and cleave the fruits of the flesh. Jesus is the only way to live.

I pray and talk to the Lord throughout the day. I read in His Word, the Holy Bible, each day. Christ speaks through His Word as well as through the Holy Spirit in us. The Holy Spirit brings everything we've read to our mind when we need it. We can't have a better friend than the Holy Spirit.

Look at Christ on the Cross next time you go to church and burn that picture in your mind. If you prayer regularly that helps also. When a temptation comes along think of Christ on the cross and say to your self "I am not going to do any thing negative against the Farther Who Loves Me". I had a drinking problem for many years God and Family Saved ME. God Bless You

this sounds corny, but this is my own thought.

When I have a horrible day, I meditate on the thought of me and Jesus, on top of a lonly hill in a vast green vally, on top of the hill is a single tree, flourished with life, and under the tree, me and Jesus talk, and enjoy eachother's company,

It always works to calm me down.

Word, Prayer, Fellowship with other believers....worship music! Just to continually keep your mind on Him, what He says, and instead of listening to secular music, put in some good christian worship. That has really helped me and not only that but I desire to listen to praise and worship now all the time! Talk to Him!
