Yeah I did get that infection long back and I must say it was an horrifying one.I was put on antibiotics for a course of 7days and was told by my doctor to be clean enough in every possilbe way, even the bathroom should be clean and tidy.also drink lots n lots of water and when ever u feel there is a slight pain then drink cranberry juice,if u r the one who gets UTI very common then drink cranberry juice everyday, cranberry by nature kills the bacteria especially which is present in the urethara and if u r sexually active then do wash everytime u r done and try to be hygienic..
If its severe then immediatly show it to doc.or it will get worst.
Hope this helps.

Young women who are sexually active usually suffer from recurrent UTIs. They usually get it from their partners who are asymptomatic( dont have any symptoms and dont know they have a UTI ). Now, this is not the only cause: lack of hygiene, Diabetes, some other kidney or Bladder infections can also lead to recurrent UTIs.
The cure is simple, an antibiotic that works for UTIs and drink lots of water. Also treat the partner even if he doesnt have symptoms.
Prevention : maintain hygiene, clean underwear, drink lots of water, check your blood sugar for undiagnosed Diabetes and keep your fingers crossed.

Keep your area very clean. I'm not saying you're dirty or anything but that's a main reason that causes them. Like wiping back to front (that could cause it). Get antiboitics from a doctor and make sure you take them for the entire dosage and not just until your symptoms go away.

My Mother had it persistently! No I do not think she was that sexually active? Turned out to be something simple and over looked. Fabric Conditioner. Took months for her to figure it out, but now she will never wash any under garments in Fabric Conditioner. You talk about keep everything clean, but how many rinse under garments in fabric conditioner, which is what? A nice oil, so much for clean! Think about it.

according to some doctors, frequent UTI most commonly is caused from bacterial growth in the area which can be caused from dehidration (when you are hidrated your body automatically cleans itself). also wearing nilon underwear is a big cause.
