People who are convicted of their faith may well experience things like that.
St. Francis of Assisi experienced stigmata in La Verna, Italy, and his case is widely considered authentic.
St. Catherine of Siena was also a stigmatic.

For those that have not looked it up (I had to) stigmatics refer to people who develope wounds similar to 'Jesus' (Jesus is not his real name but the name is the result of several bad translation).
I do not believe either way, I would have to see them for myself, I have worked with magicians in the past and know that things of that nature can be faked easily. However, just because some do fake it, does not prove that it can or might exist.

I believe in stigmatics about as much as I believe there are people who can walk on water, or turn water into wine or part oceans.
In other words, no. I don't believe in stigmata, or stigmatics.

I'm just not real sure about this one...
I've seen the facts and it is just really
hard to believe...why would GOD want
this to happen to a person...it just doesn't make sence...

No I don't and there's not a shred of solid evidence to suggest there were. You'll get plenty of support for the idea from the religious cranks but never one credible example to prove it.
