I'm a psychiatrist so I'll be able to help. You should go out with a couple of your close buddies and have some fun. If you drink regularly...you should that night or any night when you're feeling down. The drugs may help you feel good at the moment....but you'll feel like **** later. Don't come home until you're sure you are feeling better that night. Meet some new people, maybe at a bar. Go see some friends, and talk to them on the phone. Take a nice LONG bath, with some candle lights and soft music. Treat yourself good for the next couple of days. Don't Lay off your chores 'till the night..do them in the morning so that you have some free time for yourself later. Take a short hiatus from your job, and don't go back till you feel better. Some people may say go to work so that you'll have something else on your mind...but the truth is, when you go home there's just more stress. Have a spoonful of honey every day for a week, and set yourself a healthy diet. Watch some funny movies and read some comedy filled books, and lay off the sad movies and depressing books. They wear out your emotions...and when that happens it's almost like you're feeling dead. I really do hope this helps. Email me if you still need some help at:

What you eat affects your mental functioning. By choosing certain foods, you may be better able to balance your emotional and mental health. There is no doubt that food can make us feel good. Food has the ability to alter the production or release of neurotransmitters. This mood-food relationship is explained by neurotransmitters, which are chemical messengers transmitting our thoughts and actions to the brain. The food we eat affects the neurotransmitters, thus changing our moods.

The theory is that the nutrients in foods are precursors to the neurotransmitters, and they decide how much of the neurotransmitter is produced. It is complicated, though, because foods are made of many nutrients that interact together. The mood-food connection is a combination of physiological and psychological interactions.

Moods are like the weather. Some days it's cloudy and rains. Other days, it's sunny with a slight breeze. Then there are those in between days mixed with sunshine and clouds all day. So what you need is patience.
