Yes, I do know that. But most Bishops/Archbishops don't do that anymore.

In my previous details I answered a question about getting "clattered" as the person put it. Sorry for not clarifying.
I actually wasn't in a Confirmation class because I'm homeschooled, and homeschoolers tend to have good reputations.

The bishop is going to ask all Confirmation candidates (at once) to answer the Baptismal vows. Assuming most of the candidates were Baptized as infants, at the time the vows were answered to by the god parents. During Confirmation, the candidates are given the opportunity to answer the Baptismal vows on their own accord.
Later on, when you approach the bishop for reception of Confirmation, the bishop will ask you what you Confirmation Name is (usually the name of a favorite saint). The bishop then Confirms you.
Confirmation is a Sacrament you can only receive once. Just relax and enjoy the moment. You'll do fine.

What you could continually do is take a seat with a pastor/priest to talk your non secular id with them. i'm a "cradle catholic," born and raised catholic. i became baptized while i became a newborn, won my first communion, first reconciliation, and affirmation. additionally, i've got had a healing of the sick. Catholicism is a branch of Christianity. the suited thank you to come to a decision your id is to take a seat down with somebody which you have confidence, i.e. a non secular consultant and talk your ideals with them. I lost my faith for a on a similar time as and sat down with a teenagers minister at my church and this extremely helped me. in case you opt to understand the inspiration of what a Catholic believes, examine the Nicene Creed; it is somewhat long yet sums all of it up. it is magnificent and that i say it each and every Sunday as an component to my catholic mass.

You will be asked initially, "What do you ask of God's church?" You answer with the name of the sacrament.
You will be asked, "Do you reject Satan, the father of lies, and all his works?" Answer "I do" to that. Then the creed will be put to you in question form. You answer, "I do" to all of those too.
For the actual confirmation itself, you will not be asked a question. You will be anointed on the head, and told, "Be sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit..." and then, "Peace be with you."
You may also be asked by the bishop to pick a "saint name", which should be the name of a Catholic saint. Not every diocese does this, but some do.

I'm not catholic but I'm episcopalian and have been confirmed. If you just pay attention in your confirmation class you should be ok. I really didn't get asked anything because so many others were getting confirmed he just talked to us.

A word of advice.. Keep hold of your 'Confirmation certificate.' If you don't then you will not be allowed to marry in a Catholic church later on in life. (If you want to!)
