Not the world, but society wont last too much longer. a couple things that have a very high chance of happening soon that would could bring down civilization.
Geographic Pole shift-Not the semi-normal magnetic pole shifts. These bad boys happen about every 70,000 years, the earth actually flips over, though that could take a day or a thousand years, depending on many factors. We are a bit overdue, and the global tilt is starting to become more linear. Climate all over the world changes radically, the artic becomes temperate. Would be natural disasters like the human race has never seen.
Nuclear War-This almost certainly will happen sometime in the near future if we do not change our policies.

We each, in a certain sense are "a little world, made cunningly." All we know and experience and remember and feel of the world exists in each of our minds. We are aware that we are going to die. Insofar as that is the case, we are aware that the "world" which we have perceived and that we carry in our minds will end when we die.
We tend to project this idea outward onto the world at large, persuading ourselves that world will end in our lifetime. It is this that leads to the "apocalyptic" idea.
The end of the world has been predicted on a regular basis as each generation succeeds the last, each generation convinced that the Biblical prophecies point to their "present," and yet, here we are.

When the dooms day clock strikes 12. Actually for real we don't know the hour or day or night or time when the world will come to an end. Don't stop living your life live it the way your living now.

Many people have predicted when the world will end, but never has one of the theories come true.We weren't around to see the world begin either. It could end at any time.We just don't know.Hope this has been somewhat helpful.

2 Timothy 3:1-5
But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.
For men will be
lovers of self
lovers of money
boastful
arrogant
revilers
disobedient to parents
ungrateful
unholy
unloving
irreconcilable
malicious gossips
without self-control
brutal
haters of good
treacherous
reckless
conceited
lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God
holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power...
Does this look like the days that we are in? God only knows when the last days will be. But there is hope for those who put their faith in Jesus.
2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance."

If the rapture happened at this very moment, it would still be 1007 years before the end of the world according to the Bible. No worries.

As a former believer I always had a problem with this, mainly because - what's he waiting for? What han't been accomplished.
Every day, every hour, every minute, billions are suffering on this planet, many for no reason of their own. Yet time goes on. Only one reasonable answer for that - he ain't here
