People want to blame the immigrants, because that is the quick answer to everything.

Lose your job? Its not your bosses fault for spending the budget on his new boat, its the IMMIGRANTS!!

See how it works? Ever notice how congress hasn't passed one law to punish the companies that hire illegal immigrants (thus providing the motivation for them to come here)?

Hispanics are singled out because they are easily scapegoated. (much like the third reich did to the Jews).

That question was hard to follow, but I'll try to answer it.

Though I certainly think thier should be fewer restrictions on how people earn thier money and live thier lives than currently exist in most countries, I can't agree that one of the restrictions that has to go is national borders. And, I certainly can't agree that citizenship should be meaningless. The world is not so peaceful, tollerant and utopian that it can exist under a single government or without laws. Illegal immigration (whether from Mexico to the US, as you mention, or otherwise) tears down the rule of law that we all depend upon to keep our respective societies functional.

Them as people I have no problem with, but my husband is a contractor, and with all of the Mexicans doing jobs for way below the norm, us US citizen are having to go on welfare just to be able to feed our family.

If they were over here to make money they would have gotten a work visa or permit as they have done for generations. What those few who do pay in taxes falls way short of what it is costing us to have them here in this country, considering the drain they are putting on our social services, health care, prisons, and education systems. I don't mind people doing better, but not at my expense. That's as open a mind you can expect anyone to have. How about I move into your house and expect you to take care of me?

It's not that it's Mexicans necessarily, it's about illegal aliens wherever their from. Making more money for your family is fine. Doing it illegally is not - that's the whole issue. How they spend their money? Who cares? But to say that taxes are taken out, is wrong in most cases when you're talking about illegals.
And BTW, Truthspeaker, (Truthspeaker, HA, anything but), you have no idea how it works. Hispanics aren't singled out, it's just that Hispanics from Mexico are the majority of the illegals.

I favor legal immigration. I oppose illegal immigration.

It has nothing to do with race.

If outsiders don't like something about my country, its citizens or its laws, I invite them to leave - immediately.

If the USA invaded Mexico you'd be complaining.

The biggest problem with Mexican immigrants in my opinion is the crime that tend to follow them. Couple that with the burden they place on the state (services etc) and immigration looks less than ideal.
