In christianity you must believe the son of god Jesus died for your sins. That would mean all Jews are not going to heaven because they believe he was a messiah not the son of God. So does that mean Jesus who was a Jew did not save any of his people. Very big contradiction. Someone please explain this to me.

The apostles were Jews and a large number of disciples were Jews (many hundreds). In fact during the time of the Apostles entire synagogues turned to Jesus.

An interesting comment, was made by the Apostle Paul, which showed the love he had for the Jewish people, he said; "For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:" (Romans 9:3)

To answer your original question, the truth is that you can not reject the messiah and go to heaven. The only way to the Father is through his son, Jesus Christ. The good news is that down through the ages the Church has seen a small number of Jewish people, which have come to faith in the Messiah, Jesus Christ.

A more logical question might be, how do we go to heaven when the scientific possibility of God proves otherwise?

Can we really go to a play that doesn't exist?

Regarding the Jews, the won't be able to get into heaven either. For reasons, see above.

If we assume that God exists, much like we could assume that the world is flat, then the Jews would get into heaven on the basis of being the "chosen people." Since they are chosen, then they clearly wouldn't kill the son of God, therefore Jesus is not the son of God, therefore you don't need to believe in him to get into heaven.

Basically, just tell me where I can get the keys... I might go.

Also for the individual who referenced the Holocaust and disparaged Christianity, I respond this way:

The Bible does say that the meek/poor shall inherit the Earth. Applying this to your religion, being Jewish, I am sure you have horded up all this money and are therefore Rich. So you can't go to heaven.

Hypocritical and offensive? Now you know how others feel.

Read Hebrews 11, the chapter on faith.
Many Old Testament characters believed and had faith in God. This was counted to them as righteousness.

Now that Messiah has been here (Jesus), all Jews and Gentiles must acknowledge Jesus as Messiah, Lord, God.

Salvation is offered to all, but only those that receive Jesus' salvation will get to heaven, regardless of their ethnic or religious background.

You clearly do not know the origin of the word messiah, nor the phrase "son of God." Moreover, Jesus did not save anybody - not even himself. And for the first three thousand years of Judeo-Christian history, heaven had nothing to do with Jesus, because he wasn't born yet. But keep studying and asking questions. There's an awful lot to learn. Good luck.

OK, I'm Jewish so let me take a shot at this: First--there are **no** Jews who believe in Jesus. No Jew that I know, no rabbi, no one, thinks that Jews for Jesus are Jewish. Only they think so, and just because you call yourself something doesn't make it true. Period.

Second--Sorry, everyone, but we have our own religion which says that we *are* going to heaven. So sad to disappoint you.

To the questioner, who was asking this out of an honest position--in a nutshell, we Jews have our own religion which dictates its own path to G-d. We believe that everyone, Jewish or not, can go to heaven provided that he or she is a good person, which is defined as at least following the seven Noahide laws (look in the story after the Flood, they'r there).

According to christianity, I have no idea how they fix this, or any of their other contradictions. According to Judaism, pretty much everyone eventually gets to the next world (christian "heaven" has too many connotations that do not jive with Judaism). However, as someone else said already, we do not "live for death" the way christians seem to , being more concerned with what comes after life than what they are supposed to be working on IN life.

Every religion has something in common we all look to a higher power for guidance. We may all call that higher power something different and believe in different after lives. Just because christians believe one thing and others believe in something else doesn't mean they won't go to heaven and how do we know if christians will. Everyone believes in something different but no one knows who's right. Or maybe we're all right. You never know but one day you will find out. Hope this helps.

maybe, just maybe, jesus wasn't actually the son of god. In judiasm, you must believe that even if your not a Jew, you can still go to heaven.

before Jesus came,

the jews were saved by their faith in following the Laws in the Torah. their faith in Jehovah God saves them.

after Jesus came, there were Jews who believe in Him. Peter, Paul, Mary, Magdalene, John all were Jews. They were saved as a result. Jews who do not believe in Jesus, like anyone else will not enter into eternity with God.

Jesus was a Jew because He had to choose a race to be human to die for us.

how do you know you're religion is the rightone ? it did come after the jewish faith. scientology isn't that old why do they think they are right. islam has all the teachings from both torah and the bible, yes it is inclusive it shows the progression of faith. i would rethink this if i were you. do you really think all these peple are hell bound. who has the revised book out of all three. which religion is constantly correcting or changing ideas of mary the mom mary the whore and wife of jesus. i think you will not go into heaven based on the fear that someone has indoctrinated you into.life is not about getting into heaven. it's about living right and protecting what god has given us (earth)to take care of and all in it.(all)
