KLH DVD Player parts?

I have a KLH HA7000 DVD player. The "belt" that opens the door so you can put a dvd in has broken. Do you know if this part is universal or do I need to contact the company.
I've searched online and the company seems to be difficult to reach, that's why I'm asking...

Well if you can figure out the size of the belt there are companies out there that sell different sized belts.
