I have no idea of what you are asking here. What is "Canad"? Is that Canada? And what exactly are you referring to as claiming as dependent for child support payments? Need further information to know what you are asking, so that I know how to answer you. Generally, though, in the US, if you are paying child support payments, you are paying them to another person who is taking care of the child that the child support payments are for. And usually that person that you are paying the money to is the one who claims the child as their dependent.

I am assuming that you are filing a US return and the Child is in Canada?

The child being in Canada does not matter for US tax purposes, so don't worry about that. There are, however 4 other hurdles that you must clear before you can claim the child as a dependent. The child being in Canada wouldn't matter. But if you are not the custodial parent, then you can't normally claim the child even if you do pay child support.
