It should be unless the items were added after purchasing insurance, and they weren't notified of the changes.

Everything on the car when it's insured is included, even the seats, brake pedal, turn signals, tires. Otherwise, Kelley Blue Book would have every car listed at $100 or so.

They are - when insurance figures the cost of the car they use current value of the base car plus options on the car at purchase. Options not listed in the books used to compute value are considered to be of no additional value to a buyer of the car. Modification you make to a car are not included unless you make a declared value at the time you put them in or on the car and then you would have been charged a higher premium to cover them. If this is done, they would be figured in the value. Many things that used to have added value are now considered standard equipment if they are included on the majority of the model car you own. Insurance is never ever fair. Everyone but the insurance company loses.

When a car is "totaled" the value of the vehicle is determined by many factors. However, you will need to prove to the insurance company that these features were on your car (I had a friend in the same circumstance) becaue the insurance company paying will try to "low price" as much as they can on the car. DO NOT SIGN A SETTLEMENT!! unless you are receiving full value of the car!! My friend had to fax a copy of the original purchase information to the insurance company as proof. She also had to send proof of the type and age of tires, engine and mileage! Good Luck!

If it came with those as standard features, and not options, why would it?

Do they list seats, brake pedal, turn signals, tires?
No. Because it comes with the from the factory as standard equipment......
