The Holy Spirit is the eternal and infinite person of God,distinct from the Father and son and proceeding from the Father and the Son. The spirit in man is either the human spirit, the basic core of being human, or the indwelling of God the Holy Spirit on the trhrone of the human core,inspiring and sanctifying the individual by,in and through Grace.

O.K.
Each human being, born on the earth..is a spirit . You have a mind, will and emotions which make up your soul. Your spirit and your soul will go to eternity with you. Wherever you choose to go after this life.
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity of God.
The trinity consists of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit exists separate from God, but is God. Just as Jesus is separate from God but is God.

The easiest way I can explain the way I understand this is in programming terms,
So using OO programming as an example...
Class = Holy Spirit
Object (Instance of a Class) = Spirit In Man
A more explanatory example is thus;-
Class = Person
Object (Instance of a Class) = Joe Bloggs
Another way to put it is this,
Holy Spirit = Wholy Spirit, encompasses all spirits in all things
Human Spirit = An instance of spirit in a human being
Get ma drift.

What do you mean by "the spirit in man"?
When a person accepts that they are a creation of God and willingly submits to His authority, God himself comes to dwell inside of them. That is the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is God.
If you are talking about a man's spirit in the sense of what drives a man to do things...that's just an emotion.

Man's spirit was created, the Holy Spirit is God, the third person in the Holy Trinity. He always existed and didn't have a beginning.

The Holy Spirit is God. God is triune...three in one....God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Hard to understand, but is what God says is true. Each has a role to play...each is a spiritual person.....God the Son...is Jesus.
The spirit in man is part of his make up which was "made in the image of God". His spirit is just one part of his whole make-up.

The spirit in man is our life force, like the electricity that runs our appliances.
The Holy Spirit is God's active force... what he uses to accomplish his will. In scripture you often have the phrase "by means of" preceding "Holy Spirit".

the spirit in man could also be called your soul. the spirit of god, aka the holy spirit, is supposedly that part of the trinity of god that visits itself upon man.
