I like watching the show on Discovery called Deadliest Catch. But I would never be able to do that job. Too crazy for me.

I did work on a crab boat in AK. I only lasted one year because it was the hardest work that I have ever done in my entire life. You get no sleep while you are out there and the greenhorn is obviously the person that gets all the jobs that nobody else wants. I was up to waste in fish guts and baiting all those pots. I wouldn't do it again but I did make good money for when I did it. But money is not everything and I wanted to live for a long time.

I've worked both Seiners and Trollers for Salmon (my Dad's when I was a youngin') in AK., but when it come ta' Crabbin' I think I would have some BIG second thought's!!! Lot of hard work but more importantly, very, VERY dangerous!! Ha', if I did work a Crabbin' boat I'd make D _ _ N sure that I knew the skipper, " like the back of my hand" ie., is this guy a producer when it comes ta' findin' them Crab!!??

The world's most dangerous job is for those in their early 20s who need a quick infusion of cash. Those crabbers could earn $40,000 for three months work, depending of course how many crabs they had trapped. Regardless, I wouldn't do it. One reason, I'm not a strong swimmer. Two, I get sea sick in rough and tumble seas. And three I can't work 16 hours a day for three months.
