The NUMBER ONE exercise for slimming your thighs is... diet.

Honestly, your focus is on the wrong thing. There is no magic exercise for slimming a body part. What you need to do is to lose the fat that is there.

The number one best way to do that is to adopt an excellent diet. Don't fall for the popular diets. You'll lose weight for a couple weeks then gain it all back. There are better diets out there than the famous ones.

But for now, do this:

1) Eat six small meals per day

2) Center every meal on a good sized portion of protein.

3) Try to avoid starchy carbohydrates like: rice, potatoes, pasta, bread. Instead focus on carbs like various vegetables and fruits.

4) Drink lots of water.

Good luck,

Go to the gym...

and work out your legs on the machines

Do mid weight

You'll tone your thighs very nicely... Will will make them appear more slim even though they are actually still the same weight

Also do some jogging or biking...

Do the one were you lay on your side, bend you knees ( they should be in front of you) and slowly left / open one leg. Do like 10 of these, they really hurt, but they work. The inner thigh and outer, even the gluts.

At the gym they have a machine that does this too. You have to sit with your legs closed and on the machine. Then you open / close them.

cardio is the only fat burning exercise - it burns fat all over your body (we cant choose which areas to lose weight off and which not to) 4-6 times a week for 30-50min combined with light weight training
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
