Religion first evolved as polytheistic, and even in their more primitive culture, polytheistic religions never came close to the amount of destructions that the later Abrahamic religions would present. I think making monotheistic religions was a blunder.

Postulating god is definitely the greatest blunder in human history, inventing the internal combustion engine was another, along with the invention of credit.
