silly, you should steal it before you light it. cause once you light it - you will burn your hands and drip wax all over the place trying to steal it.
now with that settled. lighting a candle is not praying. when we light a candle it just helps us focus our prayers. so if you take the candle home and pray, then maybe your prayers will get answered. but considering the fact that you stole the candle - i think god is not going to look too kindly on you!
