I have struggled with weight all my life. I am 5'4, and 105 lbs. I am 21 years old now, and I still have the body I did when I was 12. It's very frustrating. I want the lovely curves you see on women of my age! I feel very scrawny. Anyone have ideas of how I can gain some weight? (And don't say just eat, because that's not the problem).

The healthiest way to gain weight and have beautiful curves is to do some strength training. Go to your local gym and start doing some weight lifting. You wont bulk up, but the muscle will add some curves to your body without being bulky.

Also, dont go eat a bunch of fast food to gain weight because you wont feel good about yourself (its greasy and nasty!)

Eat healthy meats like chicken (unbreaded), fish (salmon is my favorite), and eggs without the yolk. Also eat a limited amount of whole-grain breads and pastas, and lots of fruits and vegetables. Also, make sure that you are drinking half of your weight in fl oz of water. (Divide your current weight in half, and drink that many oz of water per day).

As long as you keep it healthy, it will be a great experience, and you will look even better!!!

Good luck !!

Everyone's body is different. Be careful trying to gain weight to get curves, this isn't how you do it. Start at the gym with a personal trainer so he can build your muscles in the spots you want those curves. They can also put you on protein powder shakes and 1 banana at night to put some healthy weight on. your body type might just be slim and you wont have curves, be happy with what you have. Most girls WITH curves don't want them, they would rather be like you! We are never happy with what we have.....

Most women would kill to have your problem. Meaning you don't have a problem with your weight, only with your self image. Today's society tries to make everyone feel the need to change themselves to look like a super model or another icon to Madison Ave's idea of what people should look like. It is difficult but we should accept the type of body we have. It is not good to be obese,we should eat healthy, and exercise, but you don't need to fit a height, weight chart to be good. There is nothing wrong with your weight. The idea about curves is now pushed by plastic surgeons who become wealthy convincing people to get larger breast, or smoother skin. Don't feel scrawny, feel healthy. I like slim girls.

I would start by loving your self, saying affirmations. Then seek a nutrionist-- college health centers have them. Honesty they are experts on this stuff. One tip is to go to nutrition store and drink a protein shake twice a day. They'll help you there. Many men like an extremely swealt gal! Don't undersell yourself, you can feminize by clothing also, scent and behaving in a senuous manner. I'm thinking of that gal Harrison Ford hangs with.

Your weight is fine for your height. Maybe a lb or two more but that's it. You're just small framed. I'm 5'6 and 115 (after having three kids AND I gaining 40 lbs with each pregnancy).
