That's why they're lemmings. That's why they overwhelmingly vote republican. They'll fall for anything and question nothing...in fact they'll call anyone who does dare to question anything unpatriotic and unAmerican.......Wonder what the founders of this country would say....

It depends. Those who claim the title "Christian" are as varied as Hindu deities. One should ask the Christian first, like, "Do you hold to the doctrine of Biblical infallibility?" or "Do you hold to the doctrine of the completeness of the Bible?" Many people who are by the encyclopedic definition Christians, have challenged the superiority, supremacy, completeness, authority, inerrancy, universality and sanctity of the Bible time and time again. (At some point in time, these people were called heritics. Today, they are called thinking believers.)

But I guess more than 95% of Christians would, yes, believe anything the Bible says, no matter how absurd it sounds.

Contrary to popular belief, all Christians are not robotic idiots who foolishly ingest everything they ever hear about Christianity...

I, a Christian with intellect and common sense, believe that the Bible is truth. Just because there are miracles and supernatural events recorded does not mean it's absurd. I choose to believe it because the Bible has not been disproven. It has been debated about, but never disproven.

What an intolerant idea that we believe things that are "absurd."

Many people believe that evolution is absurd. Or athiesm. Or agnosticism.

I like the fact that I can be called closed minded and yet the mere mention of some scientific theories or principles as fallable and I get labled an idiot. Is that not being close minded. I am tired of being told by you to question everything...just don't question what we believe in...question your faith...whatever

I am very strong in my faith. I believe that the word of God is sacred. I believe it was God inspired for the beginning of the Chruch. It takes a lot to keep the intent of a philosophy in tact. People have their own views and their own thoughts, and for the early Christians to all keep the main points in the Bible as accurately as they did is amazing. The minor difference is not that big of a hole.

And for you people who don't believe in miracles, you go with that feeling. It is your right to feel that way. Do not however assume to know that the rest of us who do are idiotic, or crazy mindless zombies, or lemmings, or whatever metaphor you can come up with to explain your lack of supernatural faith...

I am a Christian and I do believe the Holy Bible from cover to cover. I use the New King James Version. There are fake "bibles" out there so you must be careful.

Christians know that the word of God is truth and not absurd at all,and while they may not understand it completely they trust in the integrity of the scriptures, the Bible is only absurd to those who refuse to open their hearts and mind, and remain proud and stubborn.

What do you mean by "absurd"?? It is God's message to us in the Holy bible and guidlines how to live a Godly life. I have not seen anything from our aweseome God to be "absurd".
Anything written in the bible is the word of God- and I believe it all! Amen
