If she's over the age of consent, you have nothing to worry about.
Thousands of people meet each other IRL from online everyday. Just be careful, make sure you tell someone where your going and advise her to do the same.
Keep records of your IM's or chats to cover your ***, as some women are just plain mental.

If you have only talked about relationships and general topics and not mentioned sex then you haven't got anything to worry about. Those who work undercover to catch perverts etc aim their undercover targets at an age alot younger than 20/21. Usually under the age of consent which in England is 18. I've met up with people online before and its fine. I am sure your worrying for nothing. Just make sure you are meeting her as a friend (someone to get to know) and meet on mutual ground, somewhere that you both know and in a public place. Both go home to your own homes at the end of the night. You certainly dont wana give her the impression you ARE only after one thing. Tell someone where your going too, thats a defo importance wether your male or female.
Most importantly ENJOY your evening x

As long as she is a legal age you should be fine. Just be careful. Meeting people from online can be dangerous. There is no reason you would get arrested though. The only way that happens is if you meet a 12 year old online and your 17 or older and you want to meet in person...or talk in sexual way to them....Does this make sence?

Lots of people meet thru online talks. I met my husband that way. You meet in a crowded restaurant or someplace so nothing gets out of hand. You drive and let her drive there and meet you, don't pick her up. Get to know each other, keep it clean, no sex talk till you know each other better. Make sure when you meet she IS 21 or ask for ID if you have to. Men get into trouble with underage woman who lie about their age. It was on tv the other day, a man met a woman who said she was 18, turns out she was 15 or 16, he went to jail and has to be registered as a sex offender for the rest of his life. So, be sure she is an adult and proceed with caution, don't rush things. Good luck.

first question is where are you meeting her? if you are meeting her in a public place were other people will be present at all times..then you shouldn't have to worry..if you are aware of the fact that she is actually not 21 then your in trouble buddy.
with this situation i think you should talk to her a little bit more..listen to her conversation and if her conversation seems more high school then adult..then don't do it..people can have conversations over the computer about many things..but, you should be able to tell the difference between and adult conversation and a child's conversation.

if she said she was over 18 years old then it cant be a sting. They could only arrest you for trying to meet and have sex with a under age girl...people m,eet people online every day....just like e-harmony or some thing like that....its not something you can be arrested for. so good luck on your date this Saturday..i hope she is what you wanted

IF she has never stated she is below the age of consent/majority...
IF she has claimed to be twenty (or 21)...
IF you have NOT engaged in any activity that would be illegal under other circumstances...
THEN you should be okay.
BUT meet her in a neutral site - bar, restaurant - with witnesses. Print out her MySpace page if you are really concerned.

The way you get in trouble on line is to respond to ads from kids saying they are 10 or 14 and show up to meet them and get busted for child sex stuff.
If she presents herself as 21 and turns out to be 14- don't touch her. Leave and tell her she is not being very smart. And she is hurting other people.

As long as the discussions online were of a general nature and you are going to meet her just to meet her, you'll be fine. It's when you are sexually explicit and go to meet her to do the wild thing that thing might get scary.
Go met her and check her out. I hope she'll be even better in person.
(meet her at a restaurant if you are too nervous about it.)

I.. dont know I mean those sting things are getting very common... Are you all going to meet in public?
Because if she tells you to come to a house dont go..
and be really careful as long as youve never had a sexual conversation and as long as youve never made this meeting up all about having sex..
I hope she is really 21.. and when you meet up ask to see her I.D. ;)
Good Luck
