If the Cymbalta is making you feel much more aggressive than usual, tell your prescribing doctor. He may decide to decrease the dose; but don't alter the dose without speaking to him first.

It can take a few weeks for anti depressants to really kick in and make you feel better. My brother takes Cymbalta and he didn't feel great for the first week or two, but he's now been on it for several months and so far, so good; it's really helped him.

Do take any concerns to your doctor; that's your right as the patient!

Also remember that depression can also cause a lot of aggression, anger and irritability. Sometimes when you first start taking an anti depressant, you can feel worse before you feel better, which is really frustrating!

Good luck with it.

Some of most common side effects are nausea, severe drowsiness, feeling like the head is spinning, sleepiness, unsteady when standing up.

I believe that these are what you are encountering. That is why you are feeling like you want to rip your head off.

You should continue taking the dosage of pills as prescribed by your doctor. You also need to consult your doctor as they will carry out periodical checks on your blood pressure.

I would suggest that you seek your doctor's advise if he/she could prescribe any pill that will be able to relieve you of the side effect.

Reason that I mentioned is because I am taking that pill too. You need to work closely with your doctor and let him/her know about your aituation while taking pills like Cymbalta.

I know you said you just started taking it but if you don't feel better within 2 mos, switch! I am now on Celexa and am feeling better. Good luck!

do no longer give up taking it. All medicine have factor outcomes and there is unfavorable comments. frequently the purpose of the medicine a techniques out weighs the factor outcomes. EX: My scientific expert prescribed me severe performance antibiotics 3 years in the past for septic pneumonia. My factor outcomes have been problems, disenchanted abdomen and nausea, plus I risked listening to loss. yet whilst i did no longer take them i could have died. that's an analogous case with your Cymbalta. My suggestion could be to tell your scientific expert approximately those factor outcomes you experience and your concerns. better than probably your scientific expert will the two assist you realize to maintain on taking Cymbalta for a undeniable volume of time and notice the place the factor outcomes flow or your scientific expert provide you a clean prescription.

There are many different anti-depressants out there and different ones work for different people. That may not be the right drug for you. I had to try at least 5 before I found one that helped me to feel normal. When I tried Paxil I wanted to rip my coworkers head off for typing to loud. I completely understand. Try running on a treadmill or walking it will help calm you.
