1) Davey Allison would still be racing hard and probably have a championship or two under his belt.
2) Jeff would have been signed by someone else of course with his success in USAC; but I don't know if he would have the high level of success he has enjoyed at Hendrick. There is a chemistry at Hendrick that is hard to put a finger on that seems to breed excellence in it's Drivers.
3) Without a doubt DAvid Pearson would have reduced the number of wins Petty got, as well as championships. Pearson was the thorn in Petty's side.
4) Mark Martin would have won the championship in 1990 if it weren't for cheating and yet Roush Racing still continues to cheat to this day in both Cup and Busch. Worse it's Cup Drivers cheatin in the Busch series. Will The Cat In The Hat ever learn?
5. Ernie Irvan would still be a top notch contender. RYR would not be in the mess it is in now if Irvan was still around.
6. and while we are talking what ifs how about the only successful Driver/Owner in NASCAR History Alan Kulwicki. Alan being both the Driver and the Owner of his car inspired many Drivers to attempt the same; however he was the only one to win a Championship racing the car he owned.
If Alan where still alive I think he would have added a few more championship trophies to his shelf and probably reduced the number of wins and championships of Dale Sr..

1) He'd just be retiring now or in the near future, have about 30-40 wins and a couple of championships.
2) He would have ended up with a top notch team anyway even if he had not been on a good one to begin with. I think what would have had a bigger impact is if Ray Evernham hadn't been his crew chief. He'd still have over 55 wins and some championships, though.
3) David Pearson is the greatest driver EVER. There is not another driver that has been more dominant or had a higher winning percentage. Obviously he would have won more races than Petty and he didn't have to cheat to win either.
4) He would have won his only championship.
5) Not much would have changed in NASCAR's big picture. He was a decent driver that was pretty consistent but the best he ever finished in the standings was 5th. He never won a bunch of races but usually brought his car back in one piece.

1. Davey and Jeff Gordon would have battled through the mid to late-90's instead of Jeff kicking everyone's butt.
2. Hendrick Motorsports would have been at the level of Bill Davis, Morgan McClure during the 90's. But would still be a success today.
3. We would be calling David Pearson "The King"
4. Dale Earnhardt would still be the 7 time champion because of #2. But would have more championships than Petty because of #3..
5. He would have won several more races, but nothing much more.

1. He would have won multiple championships. His death was a huge loss to the sport.
2. Roush Racing would have gotten one heck of a good driver. Gordon would have still done spectacular, but he'd have done it in a Ford. The rivalry between Ford and Chevy would be much more heated with Gordon in a Ford.
3. I don't know if Pearson would have reached 200 wins, but there would be an even better case for those who think that he's the best driver of all time.
4. Dale Earnhardt would only have 6 championships to his name. Mark Martin would have one, and there's a good chance that he would have permanently retired several years ago.
5. I think that he may have won a championship. Ernie was a great driver, and it would have been nice to see what he could have accomplished.

Of course things would be different, but there's way of truly knowing in what way, good or bad. The past is past, what's done is done.
