Actually you can start an Adult Family Home, in which you care for elderly, physically or mentally impared people in your home. You can legally exclude money you recive from the state government paid to care for these individuals (up to the first 5).

Basically, anything that you get paid for is reportable income. Even if you do bartering instead of in cash is still considered income. And also, even illegally earned income is still supposed to be reported to the IRS, that's what tripped up Al Capone. About the only thing that you can receive that would not be considered income would be a "gift".

There isn't a job where you don't have to report your income. If you become a waiter/waitress, your tips are taxable and your employer usually pays payroll taxes based on those tips you receive. If you work for someone and you receive tips, they are part of your Gross Wages in most cases and show up on your W2. The only way where you could get away with not reporting your income to the IRS, is by getting paid under a certain amount of money each year. Even if you work under the table, you're supposed to report your wages to the IRS.

Everyone is telling you the truth. You are legally required to report all sources of income. If you do self employment work and earn less than $600.00 at each job for separate employers, they are not required to send you a 1099-MISC, hence the income will not be reported to the IRS. But then you're back at square one: You are legally required to report all sources of income.

Don't have to report? No such job in the US or if you are a US citizen exists.
There are things you can do to make money that nothing is reported to the IRS unless you put that information on your tax return. These jobs include: drug dealing, stealing, prostitution, bookmaking (not making actual books, running a betting operation), etc.

What a leech!
If you have a job, you are legally required to report your income - SSI and Social Security (if it's disability) are for people who need that to live, not for people who just don't happen to feel like paying their share.

You can work in Iraq for certain US companies and receive income tax free up to certain amount (I believe $80k). This is a good option if you don't mind being shot at or stepping on landmines.
