and I tried it out today and though it was absulout crap. It was telling me to take turnings that weren't there and when I went to ASDA it went to take me in the opposite direction once I arrived there, luckily I knew anyway to go right not left. Has anyone else had trouble with this. Will I be able to get a refund because surely it is a fault with the product isn't it.

contact tom tom & explain the problems you're having.
as it may need up-dating.
my mum has a tom-tom & raves about it.
she's been known to swear at Basil, when he gets things wrong & regularly updates it from the tom-tom site.
so best i can suggest is you ask tom-tom.

we have a nav-man, but brought that for the snooper that came with it. we've been told on more than one occasion to make a u-turn as the road we're on doesn't exist!

I bought a tom tom one last week and to start with i had the same problem. I live in an estate where there is a loop road, and no matter how many times i tried to tell it i would use the back roads, it would always take me on the loop road to the main A road. It also doesn't have a stretch of new motorway on there. You need to download upto date maps off the net, but for your local trips where you know where you are going, simply don't use it!

Thats why its better to use an A-Z. At least the pages don't move around as you try to work out your route.
