The word Christian means "follower of Christ". The first Christians were followers of "the Way" which began after Jesus came and died and rose again. They were many of them ""eye witnesses" to what they saw happen to Jesus....and many saw Him after He rose from the dead.
Many call themselves Christians today and don't know Jesus in a personal way. A true Christian believes that there is one true God, the creator of the world...who had a plan how He could have a personal relationship with his own creation...so that they would choose to love Him. Love cannot be forced....otherwise you would just be a puppet. It has to be freely chosen. What happened after he put Adam and Eve in the garden was part of His plan. They chose to disobey Him....and His plan was to send His Son Jesus to die for them (the price of sin was death), so that they could be reconciled to a Holy God. They could do this by choosing to have Jesus death pay for their sin (an individual choice. )
If they did that, then Jesus paid the price for them....and He keeps track of who chooses to follow Him. Every Christian must believe in God the father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit because God is triune....three in one...hard to understand...but what the Bible teaches....and it is God's Word given to us.
God says "the fool says in his heart, there is no God" and
Jesus, His Son said "I am the way, the truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father( in heaven ) but by Me (Jesus)."
That is why every Christian has to believe in God, and accept the gift of His Son. It is a personal choice.

Well, being a christian means you believe in God. So, if you don't believe in God you're not a christian but if you are a christian you DO believe in God. Get it??

Well, that is kinda the definition of being a christian. The same question, albeit rhetorical, could be, "how come all atheists don't believe in God?

What?! Are you serious?!
That's like asking why do boys have "stuff" that girls don't and vice versa.
Because God (capital G) is a significant part of the Christian faith. Hence, the name Christian (Christ), though Christ and God are different, but..

It's part of the definition of Christian.
You might as well ask, why do all writers use words?
