I enjoy having the luxury of walking out my front door and taking two steps into my car. They called the cops but there is no ordinance. So, its my house and since I won't get a ticket, who cares. Why should I have to walk all the way to my driveway when I can park closer. Whatever is more convenient for me without hurting anyone should not be a problem!

IN RESPONSE TO TEACHERINTHE ROOM'S COMMENT: Just so you know, the fire department does not tow cars that are on your property. if my car was parked on my lawn in front of my door, then they cannot tow it. You are refering to if its parked in the street., Which is ofcourse too far for me to walk. I am a man of convenience. Whatever is more convenient for me is great. What can I say.

Your house, your rules.
Who are these people that would call the cops for this??
I'd like to call the cops on people spraying the hell out of their lawns with toxic chemicals and wasting water.

Then pave your entire front lawn and be done with it.
A drive way is to park your car. If you're not going to use it as such, then make that your front yard and put your driveway right in front of your door.
Honestly, when I see people that do that (and I HAVE seen it) it makes me think either they had an emergency and could not get to the bathroom fast enough or they are lazy. Sounds to me like you might be lazy.
Also, consider this..if you had an emergency and the ambulance had to take you out in a stretcher...how would they navigate around your car? Or, for that matter, what if you had a fire and the fire department needed to get in your front door....guess what...your car would be towed at YOUR expense...or worse,,,,just crashed into.
Don't be a rebel just because you can be....park in the driveway like a normal person. Or move your drive way if you need to.

A neighborhood shares much of each others homes collectively in the way things look. Parking on the lawn, even though it is you house, makes everyone's house nearby look bad. Thats why property values are affected by not just the house itself, but everything around it.
Consider this....parking on your lawn is fine to you...but what would you say if someone did X, Y, or Z at their house that you didn't like...how would you feel about that? And don't say you would be fine with anything someone else wanted to do...everyone has lines they don't want crossed.

It looks really bad and it brings the neighborhood looks down. They pay to live in a nice looking area and you should respect that. If what you are doing is affecting other people around you may be you should pave a drive way leading to the back of your yard and that will solve all the confusion.

But you are hurting someone. People try to keep their neighborhoods looking nice and what you're doing makes things look really bad. How far is it to your driveway anyhow? It's good for you to walk a few extra steps. Please reconsider and try to be a better neighbor. You might like the results. Self respect for one.

I suppose you realize that your lawn is gonna look like crap fairly quickly. Perhaps that's why your neighbors are upset. Why don't you pave the area you're gonna be using to park on?

It is not any of your neighbors' business. Why do they even care? I don't think they can stop you, so let them continue to call the cops on your.
Good luck to you.

For me....I would park in my driveway to keep peace with my neighbors.

Neighbors just want everything to be kept nice. It's a group effort. Plus that will kill your lawn.

Who gives a crap what the neighbours think? You wouldn't even want to know them if they didn't live next door to you because they're f*tards. Community's dead, god's dead and Mad Max is true. If you don't know what Mad Max is, then please die now, save yourself the pain when Thunderdome comes.
