I agree too? The bill says that they are to go back home after a period of time. LOL... we can't even get them to go home now. This will not be enforced... just like our current laws on immigration.

The answer is to enforce our laws. If you penalize employers that hire illegals, there will be no jobs for them. If the stray cats are not fed, they will not hang out in your back yard anymore.

While I do not like the idea of illegal immigrants (my parents both came thru Ellis Island way back when) I think it is a move in the right direction.

These people are here anyway, and it would take too much to get them out - nobody in politics is going to put that much effort into ridding this country of the people they get cheap labor out of.
This bill does NOT give them amnesty. And it does not make them citizens. And it actually sends them 'home' for a while.

This is in no way a best solution, but it is not the worst, either. If you are that gung ho on solving this problem, why not run for office yourself? But it's not easy to get anything done in Washington...

Yes and I told them I was personally going to work to throw all their butts out. After they pass this bill the bloodletting in DC will become legendary. There will be mass turnover among these pompous airheads. 75% of the US wants these people dported and they vote to give them amnesty, I would not want to be a congressman or a senator. LOL

Not yet, but you bet I will. Those moronic imbeciles. They will never protect the borders because all they see is NEW CONSTITUENTS!!!

BUT NOT IF THEY'RE OUT OF OFFICE, RIGHT???

TOM TANCREDO FOR PRESIDENT!!!

HEY, HENRY, YOUR ARGUMENT HAS HUGE HOLES IN IT AND THAT'S A PROVEN FACT.

I am so sick of that "food-prices-will-go-up-if-illegals-go-home" b.s. Send them all home AND WE'LL SEE ONCE AND FOR ALL.

You cannot believe how fabulously wonderful it was last May 1st when they all "stayed home" to show us how much "we need them" and everything was 100% business as usual with one big difference: NO TRAFFIC!!! ANYWHERE!!! CLEAR STREETS!!! You could drive everywhere with no traffic, walk down the sidewalk which was not clogged with hundreds of people, it was fabulous.

I could give a flying crap if they think I'm racist, I am just so sick of people, people, people everywhere, here in Van Nuys, hardly any of them speaking English, in my own neighborhood, for God's sake, I stopped going to the McDonald's three blocks from me because NO ONE speaks English, the girl mopping the floor could not tell me which spigot is for water at the drinks fountain! Luckily, I know the word for water, so I got helped, but I never went back, and I filed a complaint with McDonald's Corporation.

I have called and written everyone!

Hey, Henry IV, you've been snookered by the Open Borders crowd!

When people think about illegal immigrants, they think of them as picking fruits and vegetables on our farms. In FACT, less than 3% of illegals work in agriculture. Most of them work in better-paying jobs with better working conditions.

Go to a construction site and see if you can find an Anglo working there. Damn few of them, but there are lots of immigrant workers there. They get paid as little as $10 per hour for jobs American workers get $25 per hour for. So, when President Bush says illegal immigrants are "doing jobs Americans aren't doing," he's telling a bigger lie than some people think he told about pre-war intelligence in Iraq. True, Americans are NOT doing many of these jobs because they cannot live on $10 per hour (often with no benefits).

Bush, as usual, is trying to help his "friends" in the business world by giving them cheap labor. This results in unemployment for many Americans. And guess what? Unemployed American workers don't qualify for many of the benefits available to illegal immigrants.

Get your facts straight, Henry.

Agree. And while you're on the phone with them, complain about the ridiculous so-called "hate speech" or "hate crime" laws that are trying to get pushed through, in order to give homosexuals even more special rights, to use as a weapon against everyday people and to remove your right to Freedom of Speech if you simply express your honest opinion about something.

Not until they think it is in their best interest. If movements like the Paul Revere Society take hold then maybe someday.....

So what would you do as an immigration bill?
Be very careful and think before you say anything. If you think food prices are too high now, deport all those illegals and see what happens.
