Actually yes you can.. but:
1) You must be a AAA member
2) If you don't have your current reg. slip or the renewal notice you will likely have to pay for a lost slip also.
(This is how it works in California - your state may be different).
In Calif. AAA is authorized to act as a deputy for the DMV in vehicle registration matters (transfers, renewals, etc...)
The lines are shorter and the service is fast...
