It's easy to want to save an animal that is cute and fluffy like the koala bear or a baby seal, but what about the other species in our world that are also in danger, like the many species of sharks? They may not be cute and cuddly, but they are an important part of the ocean's ecosystem. How about it? What will YOU do to help save one of the world's most misunderstood creatures?

Here's another question for you to consider as well. How can we stop the killing of sharks for their fins and cartilage?

I do not eat shark's fin soup, I do not buy shark cartilage pills or in any derivatives, I do not support those companies that fish for them or have them as a by-catch, and I support and vote for regulations that prevent the abuse of sharks and other animals, cuddly or not.

no longer some thing yet Mel and Tiger charm to the media, yet an organization would not could be large familiar to achieve success. see you later as you're determined, it will be effective. Sharks are large and need to be preserved. i imagine dissimilar human beings don't love them/do not evaluate them because they devour human beings/do no longer stay interior an same position human beings do. i do not recognize why human beings can't in simple terms see that sharks want to devour too. they're an important area of the international and that i desire you sturdy success. BTW, Debbie, you're in actuality protecting it truly is no longer important? She may be youthful yet you are able to't be discouraging her from holding animals. If the subsequent era would not comprehend the significance of animal conservation, the international might want to don't have any destiny.

I will encourage and participate in programs that promote cleaner waters, to preserve the health of sharks and all of our beautiful (and even the ugly) sea-life. A healthy marine eco-system is just as important to our earth as is a healthy rainforest ecosystem or a healthy desert ecosystem (and I love to visit the beautiful beaches and enjoy the glorious open oceans!).
However, I don't believe that all manner of fishing and harvesting of animals should be stopped completely. As long as every possible part is being put to good use, and we're not just hunting (or fishing, as the case may be) for trophies, then we're being a part of the eco-system too and preserving our own species!

I rather like sharks, as long as they refrain from biting me! I intend to see the exhibit at Sea World soon, and learn more about them. I've been wondering if there is an organization that helps rescue injured sharks and protects sharks in the wild. They might need volunteers or money and that would be a worthy cause.

I advise customers not to purchase for marine tanks. Even the smallest sharks available in the pet trade do not do well in captivity without really good care and the appropriate food. I am definitely antipoaching and shark hunting too.

Personally I will stop eating 4 bowls of shark fin soup a day. Although very delicious and entertaining I am willing to go cold turkey on this in order to save the lives of the 1200 sharks that lose their life every year just to my consumption alone of their tasty fins in my afternoon soup.
However, if you expect me to give up my other oriental delights your crazy. tiger penis dust is a great herbal tea and really helps my vigor. Also panda bones are ground into a fine powder as well and make a great afternoon tea additive as well.
But, for now I will sacrfice my needs to help out the sharks

lets save all the gators too...NOT! i'm from florida and strongly dislike sharks. they are a danger not only to surfers but also children that are just playing in the water. sure shark attacks are rare but they're are plenty of SHARKS for right now. also, if we take care of our oceans then we don't need to worry about the sharks alone...nature would balance itself out and sharks along with other ocean creatures would continue to live on.
